I remember when the Outback Bowl seemed like a lofty goal because they took the third or fourth best team in the SEC.

This bowl has always been a nice bowl game. The bowls still mean something to some fans and it looks like Kelly puts alot of emphasis on the bowls. It's a great way to close out the year.

Sunny warm Tampa on New Year’s Day against a school at least with a name (who will watch film of our defense and come in very confident). This ain’t playing Troy in the Magnolia Bowl Or Coastal Carolina in the Mayonaise Bowl. Some people complain just to complain. Find 11 kids who really want to play football on a grass field and run them out there. Even if it turns into a Purdue-level glorified spring game I will be watching and rooting.

Yes, playing in the same two shitty central Florida bowls over and over against basically the same rotation of boring Midwestern teams sucks from an entertainment standpoint.

Why did it change from the Outback bowl, in this article, it said Outback had the rights until 2026
