Wealthy alumni need to make non taxable donations somewhere.

No. Only the federal government can do that.

Why is firing a coach so expensive? Because it’s worth it

how smart was it of Woodward to overpay for a guy absolutely no one else wanted, and who would never have left even if someone did?

When a coach wins a title, they get a big raise. Period. The base level is usually specified in their contract.

Could it have been smaller? Sure, but O’s buyout was downright reasonable compared to what A&M just paid. And without the 2019 title, that raise and extension never happens.

I believe that if House stays with the program as DC things are going to get very ugly very fast in Baton Rouge.

Kelly will do as he always does, complete what he started. I don’t see any ugly, anytime soon.

I’d venture to say, way more of all LSU Sports than you.

I think Matt House stays and they change position coaches. People will throw big tantrums over this.
That would destroy everything BK is trying to build up.

This Defense was totally dysfunctional and historically bad.

The PERCEPTION TO RECRUITS if he actually brings Pennywise back will be disasterous.

It would kill Defensive recruiting and everybody in the SEC would use it to negatively recruit against LSU. (And rightfully so)

Good god, our fanbase simultaneously bitches about spending too much money (House) and same breath says "pay that man what he wants" (ERob).

Yep, you see the same thing I do.

Just get Leonhard and the money that will be made from winning will take care of all these costs.

Can't TAF or certain alums do something to make sure House and others are gone, hopefully before spring practices start?

Prime brought in an estimated $100 million dollars to CU and Boulder this year alone……how much is a playoff birth worth?? For two years I guarantee It’s WAY more than the chump change you’re talking about. We don’t have Texas money but we are in the upper echelons in money. Always have been. Saban taught us to spend it wisely. We could have won the SEC and been in the playoffs this year with a heisman trophy winner (we still have that). How much money did we lose because of House?? How many recruits are we losing because of House???

The defenses since 2019 have ALL been bad. Non-existent tackling and players just looking lost out there. I don’t know what needs to be fixed first, but probably fundamentals before scheme.

Its not so much a question if they can afford it but if they can afford to keep the staff in place and have a similar result to this season. The defense cost us a chance at a playoff/Championship this year. Not sure Kelly and Woodward can afford to have this result repeated with no changes made to the staff.

Good call. Bring in an elite secondary coach to show our guys how to play 15 yards off the LOS on 3rd and 6.

So you’re at approximately $13M over the next two years to tell your current defensive staff to go away.
That shite defensive staff cost this team a national championship this year. What is the value of A national championship + A Heisman?
I'm guessing $130M

Some have speculated co-oc for him in 2024. Obvious attempt to retain the man. I have no idea if that would be in title only or if he and denbrock mesh

Yep, Woody and a Big Money guy handled that one. Too easy.
