Jeans are typically more durable than khaki slacks.
Baling hay isnt that rough on your legs. Go out in some thick woods, through thickets or briars. You'd definitely be wishing you had on jeans.

I had a streak in my 20's where I didn't wear jeans at all. Just khaki shorts or chinos. Now, I still enjoy wearing chinos, but will mix in a pair of jeans occasionally. I only own 1 pair.

OK, I agree on slacks, I used khaki wrong here, slacks is the better verbage.
But I will wear nice shorts(pleated or not) khaki, or black, green with nice shirt to church. Better dressed than many jean wearing heathens. But I have nice running pants, not those sloth wearing warmup types.

By the way Boudreaux's butt paste is a must in summer roughing it in briars and wading fishing. A must btn the legs and butt crack.
