Lol you people make no sense whatsoever! So does that 10 years include the offense or is it just defense? We’ve had plenty of time, with the addition of the portal, to get this defensive personnel up to standard. Maybe not top 10 level but there is zero excuses for having a defense this bad. Especially the Ed O excuse. That’s such a lame excuse, it’s pathetic at this point.

Our defense last year was decent with the portal additions. We don’t have elite recruiters, injuries played a part, we didn’t land any elite players on the DL or in the secondary out of HS last year or so far this year and our scheme could be better. On top of that, Louisiana talent hasn’t been great or deep at those two positions and we did miss on the few guys we did have instate.

We don’t have the best coaches on that side of the ball and the DL coach we did bring in, wasn’t able to help most of the year. We were very late identifying there was a problem with development on the DL as well. CBK himself said that was his fault and y’all still won’t admit most of this is on the current HC.

You people have serious issues. The man isn’t perfect and I believe he will get it fixed but this is on him. Our defense could and should be much better at this time. To get it fixed, you first have to identify the problem and blaming someone who is no longer here, isn’t going to help the defense play better.

Hopefully he identifies those issues and finds the solution quickly. Whatever that takes, just get it done and we could have a much better defense as soon as next season. I know this, saying it’s Ed O’s fault, isn’t going to fix a damn thing.
