Same here. Dark blue coveralls was all my dad ever wore. While working on his property, I put one of his coveralls on. Our dog almost chewed my arse up. Guess he was confused.

You could get shorts in utility suits at Sears and K-mart.

They ladies loved the utility suits with the Velcro shoes, and Hai karate aftershave.

exactly!

Lots of military and ex-military wore them when their were more WWII and Korea vets around

My dad, who recently passed at 98, was a WWII and Korea vet (USAAF/USAF retired) and most of his hats had the rope. He didn't have a lot of baseball caps but most were related to either the USAF (13th AF) or the US Power Squadron that he was a member of for many years

They are 100 percent back in style. Go yell at clouds, boomer.

So you are saying the OP is a boomer for not realizing that a style of hat has been around for decades?

easy to spot all the GDI Losers ITT

They started creeping into vogue around 2008...The trend started on OldRow.net really took off around 2015 or so with the unwashed. Was OG Elite Southern Post Grad/Fratty headwear..now is more ubiquitous.

Have about 20 or so of them

Yeah, they looked better in the 70’s and 80’s on country club golf hats.

Very true. Whoever invented flat bills needs their arse kicked.

You sport one of those caps with short sleeve Khaki coveralls, unzipped down to your beer gut to reveal your hairy chest and some sturdy work shoes, you'll have to beat the women off of you with a stick.
