Ideas for a trip with older teens for 3-4 full days.

I have teenagers from 14-18 yrs. Thinking of a trip first week of June. The trip will be 3 or 4 full days, not including travel days before and after.
We will fly.
Not opposed to staying in one location for the whole time or renting a car and driving a couple of hours to 2-3 spots.
I’m looking for something a bit easier than say 3 days at Yellowstone or 3 days in the wilderness.
We’ve done Disney, North Carolina mountains, Colorado (Denver area), Mt Rushmore, Arizona and the Grand Canyon. I love these trips because the kids will remember them. I want them to see/do something memorable.
I was thinking Philadelphia. See the historic sites. Catch a baseball game. Enjoy the city, etc. I was thinking Philly may be more fun than D.C. or Boston.
I wouldn’t mind California but hard to decide what to see (thinking the beach area, LA, or redwoods).
The upper Michigan peninsula has always interested me, but not sure it would have enough memorable spots for the teens to make it worth it.
Anywhere in Canada - Montreal or Toronto?
Not opposed to the Caribbean, but wife doesn’t want Mexico or Costa Rica.
Any suggestions would be appreciated and I’ll look into each one. Thanks in advance.

Boston or Chicago. Great museums, sports, activities, food.

I suggest Boston, a city easy to navigate on foot. Maybe catch a Sox game at Fenway.

Boston, DC, and Philly would all be great choices. That’s probably the order I’d rank them if y’all have never been to any of them.

Boston would be a great trip.
Seattle area would be cool. Some fun stuff in the city. Also can do a side trip to either Rainier or the Olympic NP area.

Pike Place fish market is a must for the teens. seeing the flying fish is always fun!

Pike Place Market is also home to the original Starbucks location. I, for one, think S'bucks serves crappy coffee, but the nostalgia of the original location my interest your teens.
eta: and you can take a day trip on the ferry over to Victoria Canada.

NYC is an amazing place for teens
We have two boys, 14 and 17, we took them to NYC back in May and they did not want to come home
Same with San Diego (especially if you are going in June)

San Diego used to be my go to recommendation until we went to Boston/Cape Cod last year. Really enjoyed that area.
"The upper Michigan peninsula has always interested me, but not sure it would have enough memorable spots for the teens to make it worth it."
We did a foliage road trip of northern Michigan in October this year and I think you could fill 3 or 4 days there. Google Michigan Hwy 22, Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore, Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls State Park, and Picture Rocks National Lakeshore. Mac Isl doesn't allow moterized vehicles; you bike, walk or take a horse drawn carriage/taxi. You can fly there but most take the ferry out of Mackinaw City or St. Ignace. We did a day trip but you can stay overnight but you would probably need to book soon.
Also, on the NP there is Whitefish Point and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum is there. Whitefish Bay is where the Edmund Fitzgerald was going when it sunk.
We used the GuideAlong app and purchased the Michigan Lakeshore M-22 tour. As you drive along the narrator describes upcoming places to stop. You don't need internet and that tour cost $16.

Second the Boston recommendations. Have been twice with older kids and still a ton to do.

Fly to Newfoundland. Visit the first european settlement in the NeW World (Aux en Meadows), Walk the Grand Morne Park, take the longest ferry ride down to Nova Scotia and visit the area the French Canadians were expelled from. Salmon fish. East Lobster. Fundy tides. Fly home from Halifax.

Newfoundland is something I’ve never even considered. I’ll look into it.
I will take a hard look at Boston and San Diego.
Thank you for the recommendations. Please keep them coming if you have more.

How about Milwaukee. Go to a baseball game. Then up to green Bay. Tour Lambeau And HOF. Then drive to Michigan UP. Mackinaw Island is neat place. Come back along lake superior to Marquette. Then down to Madison and back to milwaukee.

For the Boston trip recs, mind giving some of the must see for the teenagers?

You mentioned wanting something easier, but they’ve never seen real mountains. Rocky Mountain national park is pretty quick from Denver. They can summit some real peaks.

Thinking any of Philly, Boston, NYC or Chicago would be great option for teenagers. See a baseball game, a museum, some good northern diner eats.

Montreal and Quebec City are fantastic. Montreal has, without question, some of the best strip clubs in the world. They aren’t the destination every teenager deserves, but they are the destination every teenager needs. Make it happen. Be a hero. Show them the world beyond their phones.

Newfoundland would be great and would be a very unique trip for them. Absolutely beautiful place. I go there all the time for work only downside is it's a full day of travel to get there
The weather in June is just about perfect

Seattle would be good. You can see a baseball game, go to Pike Street Market, and go to the top of the Space Needle all in one day.
Then you can take a ferry to Victoria, go to Rainier, or go to Vancouver. You can do the city, baseball, hike in the mountains, and get your Canada experience in.
FWIW, Victoria is where I would go if going to BC for one day.
