Am I the only person that:

1) Doesn't know a single person that got horribly ill from covid, let alone was hospitalized or died.
2) Doesn't know a single person that had a horrible side effect from the vaccine.

That being said, people that took the vaccine have no clue what their future holds regarding having taken the vaccine.
But if not for all of the hysteria, lockdowns etc., I wouldn't even know that Covid ever existed.

I knew a LOT of people who got Covid. None of them suffered any severe effects (it was like a mild case of flu or even less) and many of them were old guys like me. HOWEVER, all of those old people were physically fit (gym and golf buddies).
My wife saw a lot of seriously ill people at the hospital. I asked her 'How many were obese?' She said 'All of them.'

Re: vaccine. Most people I knew chose not to be vaccinated so don't know of any who had bad side effects.

I know one person, great guy that died of pneumonia from Covid. He was close to 70 but in good health. He was active and played basketball regularly. Not overweight.

I know of two elderly people that died hours or the very next day after taking the vax. They were also in good health for their age at the time.

No deaths among my personal acquaintances. But I did know of a few that died, a couple of which were pretty young. As for the vax, my antecdotal experience has been that the ones getting Covid currently are vaxed with multiple boosters.

I didn't get vaxxed but my wife did and she has been struggling with getting sick with random colds and flus more than she ever has in her life. She has also had covid 4 times and works from home while I am out in public every day.

I got covid once back in 2021 and I think again in 2022, but never tested.

My wife has 3 coworkers she knows fairly well who all got the vaxx and are dealing with terrible auto-immune issues that all have arisen since being vaxxed.

A good friend of mine lost not only work associated friend to an auto-immune illness just this year, his brother in law died from a stroke 2 months after getting his booster.

How old is your circle of acquaintances? I know 6 who died of, not with but of covid. Ages ranged from 72-46.

ETA - I just looked up the youngest one's obit - he was 40.

Had a guy who leased a room at a property I rent. He was by no means a Beacon of health but never drank or took drugs or had any other issues and was around 55. From what I understand he never went to regular yearly doctor visits but sure the hell got on board with all 3 runs of the vaccine (including booster).
Died of Pulmonary Thrombosis within a year and 1/2.
Clotting of the lungs.
100% from the shot. IMO
Nope didnt need to stay at a Holiday inn.

My brother’s father in law was hospitalized with Covid very early in 2020. He was not far from being determined to need ventilation and that likely would have been his death warrant. His friend spent 30+ days on the vent and survived. They both are thought to have caught Covid from meeting with some French businessmen for a day in a small room before the country shut down.

My wife’s close friend ended up in a cardiac care unit bed for three days recovering from clots related to the vaccine. Onset within 24 hours of second dose of the vaccine.

A youngish father in the Ozark A&M Club died of Covid. I'm guessing he was in late 40s. He was fit too.

A gal in my small group at church lost her husband and his brother. I'm guessing they were in their 50s.

I knew some friend's parents who passed away, but they were in nursing home or assisted living.

Surprisingly, none of my mom's friends passed away. They are all around 90.

One friend of mine said she lost multiple family members to Covid. That makes me think there must be some sort of genetic predisposition to having complications.

My sister-in-law had a terrible reaction to the vaccine. I think it did something to her liver. I'm not sure what all happened, but she was dealing with it for months.

I know one person that died, another that was hospitalized for months, and my mom was in a cardiology unit for a month due to tachycardia that started right after Covid.

Both times I’ve had it, it was just like the flu

You are a bit of a statistical outlier.

A classmate of mine died at age 50 from "covid complications". I didn't feel it was appropriate to do any digging, but I always assumed he was vented and given Remdisivir since that was the hospital protocol at the time. He was average build and not overweight.

I don't think I've ever had covid. Never a symptom nor a test.

my cousin died, but he was recovering from heart surgery and stupidly went to vegas to celebrate everything going ok.

he got covid there and died from it. but he died from having no immune system left due to the anti-rejection drugs they gave him, not because covid killed him. it left him unable to even fight a simple cold so it was a very dumb thing he did going to vegas.

his mindset was, im still alive so im gonna live the rest of my life without any reservations. i certainly can understand it, but he died from his own stupidity.

I personally only know one person that was hospitalized. I don't know anyone that died. I worked in the Covid ICU (500 bed hospital)for the entire duration and I know of less than 50 that died WITH Covid and zero that died FROM Covid. I personally know between 30-40 people that are vaxed and boosted to the max who have contracted Covid multiple times. I tried to warn them. They can't be reasoned with.

I know 2 people that died from Covid, one in his 50's the other in his 70's.
I knew a healthy athletic 29 year old female that had double pulmonary embolisms and died as a result. She was vaccinated.

I know two people who died from Covid. I know one who was hospitalized with blood clots from the vaccine. I got covid, recovered, and refused the vaccine. I don't even think about it now unless I see someone wearing a mask.
