I have a 2013 5.0 and had the valve body issue mentioned earlier back in March/April. Brought it to a dealership and got it diagnosed but they said the part they needed could take months to come in. Ended up at a transmission shop and the owner knew the exact issue. Said the part the dealer wanted to change was basically like putting a bandaid on it. They fixed the issue, around a $2000 fix and it’s been fine since.

So just a quick update. Brought my truck into shop today. Mechanic rode with me and within a minute he knew it was the torque converter. Said that if we drop pan, change fluid, and add some of that additive mentioned previously, there is a 99% chance it will go away.
Also, for all the ones saying that Fords seem to have all the issues, the mechanic said Chevy/GMC are by far the worst on the transmission front. Said he's had to work on close to 800 of them.
