It's not even close, JD should be the easy winner.

That’s why you make Oregon fans look at the amount of plays we’ve ran Daniels has only 17 more plays than Nix but 800 more yards

JD has played better than anyone else at his position. His passing has been elite and his running other-worldly. He deserves the trophy if he continues to play as he has done all year.

Outside of the lazy 3-loss argument, the other argument is that Nix doesn’t have to play the 4th Quarter because his defense is good. These efficiency stats are nice to win that argument too.
Nix does play the fourth quarter though. People forget that Daniels has set out a couple SEC game 4th quarters too (one, because he was knocked out).

Strong case for Daniels. I also believe the three losses were to top-10 teams, at least through this past weekend. Caleb Williams won the Heisman last season when USC had three losses, one after the award ceremony, but had 15 times as many first-place votes as Georgia's Stetson Bennett, who led the undefeated Bulldogs to their second national title. In LSU's losses, Daniels accounted for 410 yards against Florida State, 513 against Ole Miss and 382 in three quarters against Alabama. LSU leads the nation in total offense and yards per play. Daniels isn't responsible for the poor play of the Tiger defense. By the way, Daniels' passing efficiency rating of 202.1 just moved him past Joe Burrow's 202.0 in 2019.

Guarantee Daniels won't win. It will be Nix or the Washington qb. Sadly just like in today's society politics are involved in everything including the Heisman. Daniels is the best player in college football this year.

No player has been more valuable or as productive overall.

Daniels deserves the heisman

West Coast, Mid-West and Northeast press vote the same but perhaps Williams, Nix and Penix all of the West Coast will spilt that vote.

I still don't think penis is anything more than average. Nix and Daniels are the top two

And he was robbed 2 TDs in that Mizzou game. QB sneak and bogus holding call on Pimpton.

Not out of the question for Daniels to have over 1200 yards rushing by the end of the regular season. Could also have over 4000 yards passing by seasons end. Have to remember though, Nix and Penix Jr will have that extra game in conference title. That could make difference to voters. I personally don’t see how you don’t give it to JD though.

Also….
Penix had 0 TD against Arizona and 0TD/2INT against ASU

I might have the teams backwards, but the point remains…..

Wrong.

They beat USC (7-4) and Utah (7-3)

perhaps, but Daniels has the least amount of passing attempts of the three...plus this:

Total Passing Attempts plus Rushing Attempts:
Daniels 387
Penix 386
Nix 370
