not gonna lie the fact that they are rare and beautiful always helps.
I love my pudelpointer but there was too much breeding going on and i wanted to try something different.

The breeder I got her from also breeds pudelpointers. The difference they said was larger affinity for water and better nose. I also believe they are a little slower to mature. she stuck a lot closer to me than the PP in year 1. She’ll Range now. Also Great w kids and babies.
I’m not sure of problems w the breed you’re talking about. Just do your homework and make sure you look at parents and pedigree etc..

Alopecia and coat color issues are still showing up. Throwing solid white dogs or white with roan spots similar to GSP’s. They just haven’t nailed the coats yet and alopecia keeps showing up.
