Hard to disagree there. Halftime adjustments and ATO’s are the key indicators of good coaching. The Pels are horrendous at both. He seems like a very cool dude, but he’s a bad head coach.

Well there's a reason they haven't rushed to give him an extension in the offseason. His return after this year isn't even guaranteed right now.

I think hes not getting through to BI and Zion. A good coach is defined by how his superstars react to his words. Willie embarrassed the while teak about rebounding, BI had what 1 rebound?? This is the so called leader of your team.

His problem is he won't establish a hierarchy between Z and BI. And their clunky play reflects that.

He definitely got through to Zion, Zion played his best game of the year besides the bad shooting.

He was all over on defense in the first half and almost had a triple double with only two fouls and zero turnovers.

As said above, there’s no clear hierarchy on this team, Ingram is touted as the leader and chosen one but he’s our third best player.

They need to trade Ingram and turn this team over to Z.

His defense to me is still lacking. He played a bit better but there were still some lapses. Going from F to D isn’t that great on defense.

lol what do y’all expect him to do?

Down 3 of his top 7 guys including two of their best four and he’s turned water into wine with a two way guy they picked up right before the season started.

When you shove fringe guys into major roles you’re going to be super limited in what you can do. Be realistic.

The problem ain't the role guys.

Zion and Ingram have acted like this for every coach they’ve had here. If we fire Willie they’ll just do it to the next guy hired. It’s clear as day that zion and Ingram don’t fit. It’s time to trade Ingram and build a team that fits zion

So Zion plays hard (for the most part) after an absolute no show on Saturday and Willie “definitely got through to him”. Holy overreaction. Maybe let’s see a few games in a row before making that conclusion. I mean Zion was an absolute non-entity in the first quarter then he played like we know he can. Awesome. Do it on a consistent basis. Then I’ll agree Willie got through to him.

He got through to Zion because Zion gave a bit more than zero effort for the 1st time in 6 games this season?

This is absolutely true. And while we all love Matt when he’s nailing threes, we have to try and play defense when he’s on the court as well. And Matt simply can’t guard in this league (though with him at least it’s not because he’s not giving effort).

Yeah like I said Zion shouldn’t be applauded from going from F to D on defense.

No he shouldn’t but we can’t compound the error by pairing him up with another guy who gives zero fricks on defense in Ingram.

Agreed. But what do you do with him? Willie aint getting throygh to him. Now what? I think you have to consider trading him. But i doubt Griffin does that, he’ll want the moon and stars for him but wont get that.

Give me a break. We're 5th in the standings. Without a starter and two of our key bench players. We're giving key minutes to a second year player in Dyson and a first year player in Hawkins. Give it at least 30 games before you melt. It's still a lot of basketball to be played and these guys have to learn to play together first under new coaches before they start to gel. Zion hasn't even played a full season with these guys yet. I'm happy they just didn't get blown out from start to finish, they actually played hard tonight. We gave them 44 in that second quarter, we just fizzled out because we're still young. Denver is just the better team. Better yet, the reigning NBA champions. They ran through everybody in the playoffs last year.

Right to me the fault lies more on our stars and their lazy lethargic effort and unwillingness to evolve their games. Plus the obvious with injuries
