My sincere apologies then.

He needs to uproot his businesses and move somewhere else then. The writing has been on the wall for years now with this leadership. They don't want you there.

all I am saying is, not every person votes for the situation they are in - a lot of times that person is stuck with what they got. not everyone can up and move because someone got elected that they didn't like. I have no idea who he voted for, if he voted for the current leadership - then it is on him. if he didn't, then he is kind of stuck.

sadly he isn't wrong about NO and the leadership and rampant crime. I love NO, was one of my fav places to visit, but no way in hell i would go now.

Not locate.

This isnt a ghost meter like you are talking about. This meter that they turned off obviously controls the power to the building.

This should be easy enough to find by an electrician or even the building owner.

I wonder what the $40k bill was for?

Progressives dont normally criticize their leaders, they always blame you.

After all, crime is only due to a lack of opportunity and midnight basketball.

Can't say I personally don't disagree.

Eric loves that city though. It always reminds me of an abused wife who loves their husband in spite of the beatings and regardless that he doesn't love her back. She's in love with an idea of the guy she married, maybe what he once was but just can't bring herself to walk away.

Cook would rather create and sell food under a tent on Magazine or out of a food truck, employ young culinary talent and pour his soul into a city and community and that isn't just what he does, it's who he is.

Eric is the type of guy that will die cooking for his own funeral and tell everyone else to show up in jeans, t-shirts and Chuck T's, crank some brass music or Tool, drink millers, smoke reds and tell stories until the sun rises.

This is like the Parkview situation with Blue Oak.

This is going viral but the building's owner should be the targeted party here.

Your bill is running up to $40k and you are blaming Entergy but how do you not have a lawsuit vs the building owners or have this pinned on them.

So he should pay even more money to an electrician to locate a meter that Entergy installed but for some reason can't find?

Did I say that? Do you understand how construction works?

This isn't hard.

I have a family member that’s an attorney here in the state and they’re trying to handle this for me but in the meantime, I have to deal with them garnishing my wages. It’s extremely frustrating especially when I had no idea this was coming because they were sending everything to out of state residence that I no longer live in. And it’s not like I’m hiding where I’m at. I’m registered to vote in this state drivers license in this state, pay taxes, currently on income, earned in this state, in this state, and they know I work in this state, because they finally sent a letter to my employer. it’s incompetence at the highest level.

I think I know more than most here. But explain it to me since I don't seem to understand.

In the article Entergy stated that they visited the site and confirmed both the location of the meter and its reading before disconnecting power to it.

quote:

In a statement, Entergy New Orleans said city rules prohibit the utility from discussing the specifics of a customer’s bill without the customer’s permission, and that Cook hasn’t responded to Entergy’s request for that permission.

“We can say that prior to any disconnect, our team will visit a site to confirm the meter reading and location. Standard procedure was followed in this instance,” Entergy said in a statement. “We would be happy to restore service immediately once we speak with the customer and agree on a payment plan option that they can afford.”

Cook didn’t address the question of permission for Entergy to discuss account details.

Will wait for the details to come out, but it doesn't sound like a ghost meter. It sounds like he may have an issue with the building owner.

How does one lose the power meter on a building?

You say:

But who installs the meter socket or the electrical service? Entergy doesnt install that, they just plug the meter in and turn it on. They have some guides as to the location this needs to be, but you cant meet with them and as long as its accessible they will work with you.

Thats why I said the building owner should know.

The $40k is stupid and he needs to fight it, but to say no one can find this meter that controls the power to the building seems stupid.

Wait until a citywide outage and bypass the meter.

I don't think that happened here, just saying in theory you could do that.
