Mt St Helens is a pretty surreal place and definitely worth a visit if just for a day. I've done the summit a couple times and it's just a long, steep hike. Nothing overly difficult if you are in decent shape and nothing like Rainier or the North Cascades.
Ape Cave, Windy Ridge, and Lava Canyon are all very cool.
