Player of the game for the Rangers is Valdez

They brought back Verlander at the deadline, and Valdez has been complete shite since. He's a disaster fielding his position, and his attitude is a f'ing joke.

Yeah. Rangers are deadly at home. They’re playing much better ball. It’s ok to admit

Welp we can all (rightfully) bitch and complain about the lack of clutch hitting or the horseshoe Arlington has up their arse right now… but the biggest difference between this team and last years team is Framber. He was a game changer last October.

He’s just broken right now and his personal catcher ain’t doing shite about it.

Pretty gutting two days of baseball. The team that’s been there and done it for YEARS not doing the little things to win ballgame.

No slight to the Rangers they are a good team but my goodness the Astros trip over their dicks continuously

Well that’s why you play the game. The first inning was a gift. After that it’s 4-1 Strohs. We can absolutely play with these guys ANYWHERE ANYTIME!! This team is far from over baw. Mark my word!!!!!

Not dead yet
Not likely but could happen. Take away Framber shtin himself and somehow get more clutch hits and try to battle back.

You shouldn't have to fix a team that made it to the ALCS but this team needs some fixing in the off season. The games we watched the last 2 days have been far to common. Pitching is unreliable and the offense doesn't show up or has brain dead terrible at bats.

We need starting pitching. Framber is a headache, JV is old, Javi has regressed, Lance has a hangnail, Brown is meh. I don't want to to rely on this group for another year.

We also need a bat that isn't incredibly streaky for months...

Altuve
Bregman
Tucker
Abreu
Chas

All have been hot. All have gone into extended slumps. Most of them are currently ghosting the post season.

Dude, I don’t sit back and kisses players’ asses when Bregman and Tucker can’t get on base against a guy with control issues. If you can’t handle the heat and want to “frick ya”, go to the Rangers thread.

I’m glad Yordan homered but this year’s Astros group has played like selfish a-holes most of the year as an extension of their manager.

That was after Alvarez hit the home run

I saw Bagwell leave his seat early last night which means he's already working hard to rectify this situation.

Man playoff baseball is weird. If you would have told me the braves would lose 3 of 4 to the Phillies barely scoring any runs I would have said you were nuts. If you would have given me odds on the rangers winning 7 straight playoff games against the rays, orioles and Astros I would have called poison control because you obviously drank some bleach or something.

Astros need some youth in both the rotation and the field. We’ve gotten a bit old the past two years relying on abreu and Brantley coming back, verlander, Maldy, pressly, etc. time to let go of most of those guys and get some new blood.

Ausmus for manager
Miguel Cabrera and Joey Votto for the bench
Adam Wainwright to the rotation

Well said. This is a small sample size tournament. Any team including the best like the Barves can lose 3 games in a row - I predicted a Barves WS championship - I was trying to jynx them...

Edited to add: hold that
