No, Missouri made mistakes and it cost them. The last 2 games on D have looked very similar on our side of things, OM is just a better team than Missouri.

Give up a td a quarter and we should win every game

No, still a WIP. Improving defense. Hell a mediocre team scored 39 points against this defense. Without the pick 6 it is a 42-39 game. LSU's defense is far from legit.

Legit? NO. Not even close. They got lucky with some bad drops by Mizzou.

They did look competent though, which is an improvement.

legit is strong. Gave up 17 points still. Looked improved 100%. Looked capable of being legit. Still gave up some things easily

Ask me what I think about the execution of the defense in the second half. I'll say I'm in favor of it.

they only looked better because you are comparing to their dismal display in the 1st half. Better, maybe yes, not sure, but certainly no legit by any standard.

The problem is while the defense did force some mistakes they were kinda bailed out by mistakes by the offense. This defense is so passive that it's a shell of last year's defense and even the 2021 season. Hopefully they get their assignments right because we saw with an effective pass rush that House's defense last year wasn't terrible. It also shows how young our secondary is. I do think House should've adjusted or identified the problem much quicker but if a better pass rush was needed Pete should've been called up after FSU.

It had two 3 and outs, gave up a drive with a missed FG, and when most important, forced a turnover on downs and got an interception.

I'll take it every time.

They made some plays, but no. They’re still a terrible defense. The turnovers and QB pressure were big, but the DBs are still getting smoked.

They looked better.

This defense has shown glimpses of being decent. I really think a lot of the issues started at the line of scrimmage. The lack of a dedicated DL coach had far more of an impact than BK thought it would.

I’m not saying our defense is all of a sudden going to be dominating. It’s not. We still have some holes in the defense that are completely a personnel issue. However, I do think we will see drastic improvements (especially stopping the run) from here on.

We have issues at DB. No denying it. But I think a part of their poor play was caused by a poorly coached DL that wasn’t stopping any running game (causing the DBs to try to account for that and thus not able to focus solely on receivers) and the fact that our DL never pressured the QBs letting them make perfect throws all the time.

Lol no. If so, you’ve been conditioned to accept mediocrity or worse…

They looked pretty damn good against State. Haven't looked anywhere close to that since then.
