Damn what a fricking great episode. All kinds of emotions throughout the whole time.

Another fantastic cliff hanger and next week should be wild

This season has been great. Soundtrack has been perfect in every episode as well. I have zero idea what to think about next weeks episode.

This show has just gotten better and better. The season finale should be fantastic, and I hope it gets a third season. It’s probably been my favorite marvel show so far.

He has to be pretty top tier in power if he can control it now.

The Loki and Mobius friendship has been awesome since season 1, with Tom and Owen having great chemistry, but there was something extra special about Loki being so nervous trying to approach him at his house and remembering how he described jet skis (form and function). It’s becoming an all time great bromance, IMO.

I think the creator are clearly drawing a lot of inspiration from Lost.

Final episode of season 1, they were given a choice. Kill He Who Remains and let Kang run wild, or take his spot.
Sylvie chose to kill him; Loki chose not to. It seems that choice was binary- either A or B. And since Loki chose NOT to kill him, he gets the other option.
When everything else disappeared, Loki... remained.

So by definition, Loki is now He Who Remains.

It reminds me of the novel The Day After Judgement. A lot of similar themes, at least.

Loki's evolution in this series has been impressive. He started as "the god of mischief", was forced to confront all his misdeeds (of which he repented), and after finally seeing the true Big Picture, he's basically taken on the role of God. SOMEONE has to protect the universe, and he's stepped up to that.

This is amazing. Getting better and better with each episode. Might be the best Marvel anything since Endgame. It should have been its own movie.

Solid theory. I can see where Loki helps fight Kang by reforming the TVA under his leadership

The shot for shot homage to Escape from Alcatraz was fun

I'm inclined to agree; this has been a great series.

Yes and no... the story certainly deserves recognition, and it's definitely epic. I mean, Loki is now basically omnipotent. He can go back and redo any part of history he wants, and manipulate the outcome if he so chooses. And he no longer needs the technology, he seemingly can just will it to happen.

But I can't see this as a single movie, it's WAY too complex. It's going to be close to 12 hours for both seasons, the runtime equivalent of 6 movies. If you cut things for runtime, you would lose so much of Loki's personal journey- he started out as the arrogant trickster who had just wrecked New York out of spite. As of now, he's become perhaps the most selfless and benevolent figure in the MCU. You can't show that transition in 2 hours.

For the MCU of late, that would be 4, but point taken.

Does lend credence to the rumor of Disney/Marvel being fricked with Majors' problems. It's clear they've put every last one of their eggs in that basket (and but for the uncertainty of that outcome [and the reputational issues]), it looked like a smart play.

I wonder if this is a reset and they are moving on from Majors. Does Loki become He Who Remains and has unlimited power! So does he just become the ultimate villain again for the MCU

The Failsafe was Loki becoming Avenger Prime.

But I wonder with rewriting the ending he can return to ANY point in time and reinstates He Who Remains, who them if you recall gave them the option to kill him or run the TVA.

Loki stops Sylvie from killing He Who Remains and takes the throne.

Could still have Kang stuff if they needed or move away from Majors.

Seems to me that he's no longer a villain.

I mean, not only is he trying to save countless universes, he's become compassionate and caring. He was running around trying to save the TVA, and Sylvie got him to admit one of the reasons was that he wanted to keep his new friends. And just before he used his powers to save the 'verse, he made the decision to let them go, because it was better FOR THEM.

Hiddleston is the exec producer, it looks like he's been allowed to redeem his character... if they walk away now, Loki has become the protector of all universes.
I can't see him dropping back to just being a foil again.

Marvel needs to get the creative team behind Loki to handle Kang Dynasty, Secret Wars, or both. It’s literally right there for them

Hopefully the finale shows renslayer arriving at the void to be bitten by alligator Loki
Then devoured by alioth.

I wonder if he who remains was doing the Loki teleportation meneuver in the season 1 finale, or if it really was his wristwatch temp pad
