Any suggestions for electronic ear buds for hunting? Provides protection to hearing yet can still hear conversations in the blind.

I have some of the Axil plugs. They work very good for hearing protection but not sure how they’d do hunting.

I bought the Otto on recommendation from my audiologist, I love them! Two negatives they’re expensive and not Bluetooth.

I have the axil wired plugs. I like them in the blind, I can still hear my calling… it’s not the same as without but wayyy better than walkers was. The wires get in the way, so the wireless ones would be nice but I’m not spending the money on them until the ones I have crap out.

How do they work while blowing a duck call?

I use walkers game ears. Work great. Not super comfortable, but I can wear them 3-4 hours without issue.

I tried Axil, they didn't stay in my ears as I rotated my head to look around. The big walker's muffs are not comfortable, at all. I usually keep them on the stand rail right by me so in case I have time to put them on, I do. Just sitting there, I don't know a solution that is good enough to hear it all and not be a pain.

I have the basic Otto Pro and they work very well for being non-electronic plugs

you can hear through them and they muffle shots

It took a little getting use to while calling. They will cancel the noise of the call, but once you get used to it, it’s not bad at all. I use them mainly for duck and dove hunting.

I have the molded otopro impulse. I really like them for a non electric option. They engage at 75 db or something like that. I use the industrial filters at work.

Take a look at Decibullz. They're not electronic, but use dampeners. You mold them to your ears. You can hear conversations in the blind and they reduced gunfire DBs. Me & my kids love them.

I got the Caldwell e max shadows off Amazon. They have been perfect. They look like an airpod, and I don’t have the issues with echoes and calling like I do with the over the ear styles. It allows me to pinpoint sounds better.

I got some Soundgear molded ear plugs about 2 years ago. Primarily for duck hunting but they work just as well deer hunting and shooting clays. They amplify noise but shut off with anything over 75 db. Thy are digital and custom molded which makes them pretty comfortable to wear for hours on end. Downside is they weren't cheap but they work and I can actually hear stuff in the blind.
