With an official seating capacity of 102,321, Tiger Stadium is the seventh-largest stadium in the world by capacity.

Everyone bitches about concessions and traffic, the real problem is too goddamn many people trying to use Baton Rouge infrastructure at once.

102,000 but apparently only 90,000 show up, and 50,000 left after halftime.

I didn't realize that. I thought for sure some of the soccer stadiums in Europe were bigger...nope!

Most of the biggest stadiums in the world are college football stadiums.

While I agree with you on this, BRPD or whoever is in charge of the traffic situation has made it much worse in recent years. Reminds me of the CATS situation "if anything, its done went from worse to worser.... We have to sit out here and wait a long periolodically time"

We were at the game. It was packed and loud. We stayed until the end and took our sweet arse time walking out and barely had any traffic once we made it back to our vehicle.

You left out that in LSU’s quest to make more money, they fricked up parking/tailgating. When all of campus was free you had people park logically where they wanted to tailgate and how they wanted to get out. The middle part of campus isn’t used like it used to be (except for big games). It pushes everyone to the outsides of campus which contributes to the traffic.

Same here. It was pretty smooth driving, walking out was more crowded.

The few games I've been to have proved otherwise. 2010 Ole Miss, stadium was packed all night long.

There was a time 20-30 yrs ago, when everybody in college football assumed bigger was better. And they build accordingly.
Now, go read the Rant after each home game about traffic, empty seats at half, bad concessions, piped in music, DJ's, tV timeouts and you realize that, for several reasons, football in the larger stadium may not be as fun as it was when it was a bit smaller.
A discussion of the benefits of downsizing might be appropriate, albeit counterintuitive.

And this is why it's so hard to fill and keep full for a game. It's really hard to get 100,000 people to stay in one place, for several hours, and keep them ALL entertained, fed, and taken care of.

But LSU should be able to magically handle this without any issues.
