Wish they would venture to the south for ryder cup again soon.

A TPC Sawgrass Ryder would be lit

That course would almost be too much for the Ryder Cup... The Way it's designed for fan viewing (and interaction)... But since it's on US soil...I'll allow it!

So during the practice round today. JT and Jordan quit after 9 holes while the rest of the team kept playing, They both went to the range and could be seen working on their swings. I don’t think this is a good thing, but in true GC fashion they said it was no big deal.

Taken from twitter, but helpful for foursomes

Player A (odd holes) probably needs to be better iron player, hitting twice as many approaches. Three of four par threes are odd holes.

Player B (even holes) needs to be the better putter, hitting nearly twice as many key/birdie putts.

One of my college roommates dad was on that team and beat Seve one of the days. That’s my CSB story of the day

That was no small feat. Seve was nearly unbeatable in the Ryder Cup back then. He always played all five possible matches, and never lost more than one match.

That streak was broken in ‘93. He only played four matches, and finished 2-2.

Me and a big group went to the Saturday/Sunday matches of that Ryder cup and I tell everyone that was the best, most intense and exciting sporting event I’ve ever been to. If you ever get the chance to go I highly recommend.

I’ve been to super bowls the masters, big SEC games in a lot of different stadiums and that tops them all.

I think the ryder cup is the best event in golf and highly underrated. Very excited for this weekend even though we have not won in Europe in 30 years

My dad used to live 15 minutes from Hazeltine. He and I went to the PGA Championship in 2009 and then the Ryder Cup in 2016. The Ryder Cup is an amazing experience that no other tournament can replicate. I really hope to go to one in Europe someday.

This year just feels like 2018 to me.

This course is going to be frustrating and I just don't feel much confidence in JT, Spieth, and Morikawa at the moment. The youth on the European side also seems like a flip of what we had in 2021.

Regardless, I can't wait for the morning beers when I turn it on at 6 am.

Burns should have broke out this look to really put fear in the hearts of the Europeans…

Also watching the opening ceremony and did Zach Johnson get some hair plugs?

ETA- I am shocked Johnson didn’t send Jordan and JT out in the first session, could be a clue as to how they are playing.

Yeah, I'm not feeling overly optimistic with those matches either. Alternate shot is always tricky. I am sure the analysts had something and I really doubt we have anyone go all 5 matches. The JT/Jordan thing is surprising to me as well.

as long as burns is doing most of the putting than this could be a W

the rest are a toss up IMO.

It is going to come down to Morikawa/JT playing better than they did this season and Harmon/fowler keeping their form

All i know for sure is that i am going to hate Zach Johnson more than i already do after this weekend
