am I missing something in the bos fla hit controversy? Marchand went in with full intent to level a guy in the process of getting rid of the puck, and he got rocked. why is the TNT crew still talking about this?

Stars are the superior team. Been saying it all along. Should have been a sweep

Avalanche totally controlled the pace of the game and had better puck control and shots and almost every other measurable. Yet it feels to me the series is lost. So I cant really argue.

It seemed to me that this was a result of the stars keeping their shifts to 30-45 seconds. It's hard to get momentum or a rhythm when you're getting off the ice and not chasing a dump into the offensive zone.

Most of the Stars offense looked like it was coming off odd man rushes where they had a clear advantage and pursued it. Other than that, I think they were content with crowding the blue line and keeping fresh legs on the ice.

At 2nd intermission, Lundqvist guessed that Stars had 11 scoring chances on 12 shots and it was actually 12 on 13. They picked their rushes well and almost all their shots were dangerous.

With the way these first three games have gone, now seeing what the teams have done in both cities and how Colorado finally put a fairly complete game together and still lost - if Colorado doesn't jump out to a multi-goal lead early in Game 4 the series is probably over.

Good analysis. I felt I was watching 90s hockey. It totally negated all of the Avalanche advantages. That game could have gone 3 more periods and save a bounce or a quirk, the Avs would not have scored. Sometimes you lose a game and it feels like an anomaly and sometimes it feels like the other team has cracked the code. This was the latter.

This was essentially what I was coming back to say, among other things y'all have said (very accurately) in analysis of what's going on.

The more I think about it, the more that pregame speech from DeBoer to the Stars hit - "take advantage of their aggression and counter" (or something to that effect). It is abundantly clear that Dallas was going to change some things up to get the Avs off their game, and they did it beautifully.

Bednar is getting outcoached this series three games in, and I don't see it changing. Of course, things can change on a dime with how loaded both rosters are, but I'm not expecting it.

Dallas is playing to win this series in a very convincing fashion. Colorado seems lost in the sauce minus desperation spots in games.

Sam Bennett should be suspended, but I agree. If this game gets out of hand for nyc I won’t be surprised if Boston makes sure a few players aren’t there in the next series
