After watching several times and pausing as the safety goes around his teammate, I can see how his vision could have been affected, and he was blocked from seeing the ball. His hit was to make sure the receiver could not advance.
Bang bang play. Since it was in front of the Colorado bench, it brought a flag.
The head butt should also have drawn a flag.

I can believe I’m agreeing with Early, but here we are.

I know they cant fine the player
With NIL, they should be able to
All players or just the ones with NIL contracts? Should it be structured based on how much NIL money they make?

Looks like the slow motion emotions are getting the best of people in here.
It was a bang bang play. He may of actually thought Hunter had the ball...or maybe not. Definitely not a "clear" dirty play though.

lol it was a half second late.
also the safetys job is to hurt. When you go back and look at highlights of Sean taylor,Lott, or Dawkins they intend to hurt.
oh well.

You are an actual retard. Plenty of states have shared liabiliy laws regarding traffic accidents.
Again, stupid fricking phrase. Sometimes the victim shares fault.
Maybe Dieon should keep his dick sucker shut for the sake of his players.

Karma strikes back because ole #11 whiffed on a TD play later in the game. And, went home a loser.

The knock on Travis Hunter coming out of high school is he was too skinny which might lead to injuries. Man, he took a good shot to the ribs. It's not like the guy went for his knees.

Do we know the extent of his injury? Has anything been said yet?

This thread is hilarious
Like someone else said, most safeties used to do this. Sometimes they were late and got flagged, sometimes they timed it up better. Either way, the intent was to crush the WR and make him think twice the next time they go deep or over the middle.
And Colorado State is a bad team even in the Mountain West conference, there's no reason for a ranked P5 team to be talking shite before the game. The spread was over 20 pts.
It's like a Big 10 team trying to build up a game against a MAC team, or an SEC team against a Sun Belt team.

Bulkshit. Called it dirty the second it happened. Looks like you’re trying to use slow mo to waive off that it was a dirty hit. It wasn’t bang bang the way you’re trying to claim. He could have pulled off and decided to go for a kill shot.

Hunter didn't even take a full step from when the ball hit the ground to the hit.

Honestly I think he should miss as many games as Hunter does

where was the flag on sanders, you dont run 40 yards down field and get in players face?
and safeties do that any chance they get, dirty or not.

Brother, go back and watch the play. The safety never even looked for a ball. He had his eyes on leveling Hunter the entire fricking time. The ball actually bounced two yards beyond the safety and he never broke his stride. He knew he was clobbering that guy.
This is the equivalent of that UCF player obliterating Burrow or Landon Dickerson spearing a player five second after the play ended in 2019. Was committed to injuring.

Yep, I've watched it. I watched the "other angles" and slow motion ones as well. Was it a penalty? Like I said, I've seen worse hits on better players in bigger games not get called.
It's easy to call this one FAFO and move on.
