He missed week 1 with an injury. Just watched the first drive against the Eagles and he was in for maybe half of the plays, limping around like an a-hole.

The Vikings are paying him $10mm guaranteed.

Marcus Davenport and Payton Turner are the same guy.

"limping around like an a-hole"

Yeah he's getting injured on purpose. Such a douche move.

Unfortunate injuries have derailed him. When healthy he was very disruptive. But dude just can’t stay healthy.

Davenport starts with a D.

Nah, I have less sympathy for Davenport than others. He was never in top shape, never worked on technique, and was never fully committed.

For as great as 2017 was, there have been some major whiffs since then. None bigger than Davenport, and sadly, what looks to be Turner.

Somebody make the Homer Simpson gif where he goes into the hedge but make him go in as Davenport and come out as Turner.

I’m more pissed that we didn’t get Jaire Alexander that draft. I wanted him to pair with Lattimore. We woulda had the best corners in the league by far and just kept T Hendrix. Corner was still a big weakness at the time.

I believe you are mistaking talent for durability.

Davenport talent wise is not bad. He has shown signs of flashes. Dude just has the dumbest injuries year in year out. He might be a journeyman after this season if he doesn't stay on the field and produce. Turner on the other hand has shown nothing nor done anything along with always being injured.

Agreed, everyone thought for sure after 2021 that was his 'breakout year'

9 sacks, a bunch of pressures/hits, TFLs but then he gets injured...again.

Loved Sean Payton as a coach but man he was terrible as a GM (He wasn't GM but heavily pressured Loomis to do this)

Issue is that Trey was nowhere near the player he is now, the need for DE was huge.

Hendrickson came off a 2 sack year
Alex Okafor tore his achilles in week 11
Hau'oli Kikaha came off an ACL tear to play in 2017, injured his ankle and went to IR that same year.

Now if we had ANY resemblance of solid play from Hendrickson, I think it changes a lot o fhtings

Turner is gonna be worse than Davenport. Dude can't play in a game at all. The last of the great SP I'm smarter than you DE failure. They can just go ahead and flush him now.
