Oh but it is. Of course its heavy traffic, but Houston is ten times the size of BR so traffic is expected. But at least it moves. There are multiple available routes to try. Multiple loops and countless side streets to try. BR is just so hopeless. You’re just stuck with nowhere to go. Every road is snarled by traffic lights and there is no loop.

Houston traffic moves except when it doesnt move.

I was driving back from Houston recently and there were about 3 wrecks all on I10 eastbound, around the Hedwig Village area.

Didnt matter that there are numerous side roads. I10 was packed and not moving at all. It took literally an hour and a half just to drive from there to Channelview.

Not to mention all the idiot Texas drivers who drive on the shoulders and have no qualms about forcing their way in front of you even if it means cutting you off and leaving only an inch between your car and theirs.

frick Houston and Texas drivers. BR has plenty of faults but I'd take its traffic any day over the week over the scum that is the Houston commonfolk.

Give me overly aggressive drivers in Texas over our no sense of urgency/staring at the phone rather than paying attention drivers. That’s why an accident causes standstill traffic. Drivers not paying attention and apparently nowhere important to go.

I go that way everyday about that time and yesterday was a normal day to me. Maybe even a little lighter than usual.

My power was out for a few hours because of it. Had to shut down Airline for the repair.

Yep. Power was out between Pecue and Highland on Airline, and all of Woodridge/Briarwood was out.
Power went out about 3pm, came back on shortly before 6.
Had to go hook my generator up b/c i had a roast in the crock pot.
I will say Entergy was pretty spot on with their estimate to restore power.

A dump truck took out a power line leaving a construction site at Airline and Pecue yesterday evening. They closed Airline Hwy both directions at about 4:15PM yesterday. The only other way around was to take Perkins or Highland.

I was passing about 5 minutes after it happened. Absolute madness.

Houston traffic is much more tolerable than BR

It at least moves.

Not having to deal with this area of BR traffic anymore has saved me hours of anger
