quote:He could find the open receiver and get it out early. He won’t do that though because he is lost pre and post snap. He depends on his athletic ability way too much and why he will never be more than a playground QB.
While he gets beat up? The offensive line was getting their shite pushed in last night. Daniels at least has escape ability.

There was never a run game.
Why is that? We have a qb and his legs are our most of our offense. Unfortunately I don't think it is designed that way but sure as hell over the last 2 seasons he has made it that way. Defense knows this also. FSU never really had a run game until the second half when Travis is throwing vertical routes down the field and it's amazing what a good to descent passing game can do for a running game

After the interception, it looked like he was smiling when he asked Nabers if he fell.
I noticed that last year about him. He doesn’t look to have emotions about him. Sometimes that might not be a bad thing but…
Most players would have been feeling something after that interception. It looked to me as if he thought we were up 55-0. It’s a bit odd to me

That's not saying much considering hes not dangerous at all throwing the ball.

He's not making good reads obviously. Two plays back to back where he didn't read it right, was where Nabers was one on one after the safety came up the field to pick up an underneath guy and he totally missed it. The very next play, the safety stays back and he throws the same route into double coverage. Piss poor pre/post snap reads.

This unfortunately looks a lot like Les Miles 2.0 more than ever. The unit is unbalanced and easy to defend.

The always laughing/smiling bit that JD does reminds of former Saints QB Aaron Brooks. Lots of talent but no true fire in the gut or that Burrow-style killer instinct that the rest of the team can feed off of. Thankfully though JD doesn’t have a habit of throwing the ball backwards like AB used to do.

He’s had a year with virtually the same cast of characters. If he doesn’t trust them by now, it’s not likely to happen.

Lacy shouldn’t be on the field.
Our OC should stop trying to force players into his trash scheme and scheme to what he has. Or start Nuss who can run it better (although not if we can’t run the ball).

It’s true. He brings talent but the rbs and wrs are going to suffer. That being said last night the wrs didn’t do themselves any favors. But Jayden hurts the offense more than he can help it.

The laughing/smiling after sack or turnover on downs is a disconnect. He was smiling it up after blocked pat last year. Disconnected cope. This is all broken record stuff from last year. We are that overrated TN that used to poke its head up every so often. We are the UF of the SEC West.

Kind of have to be when your receivers aren't catching the ball and running the wrong routes
Hankton appears to be yet another "Use Car Salesman" good recruiter that can't effectively coach the position, a la Mickey Joseph.
A long season yet to go and it's early, but based on this one game, I see at least 4 Assistant Coaches that aren't doing their job in effectively Coaching/Developing their position athletes........

He's a good athlete with the dual threat ability, but strictly as a passer his mechanics aren't good and he's not particularly accurate. He doesn't throw guys open, and he doesn't read defenses particularly well.
He's still a good player, but he's not the best QB we have.

Daniels is maxed out as a quarterback

They should move him to CB

I would give him a look at DB or WR. No more QB.
