No. This is an inaccurate statement. Also, even if true….

O idk, maybe use him as an edge rusher on more than just “obvious” passing downs? If it’s an “obvious” passing down, and we used him on those “obvious” passing downs, then don’t you think it would be “obvious” to FSU that he was coming?

They shredded us on more than just “obvious” passing downs.

The entire narrative leading into this game was how creative we would be with him. I saw 0 creativity. I saw a dude get bogged down in the middle all game and then play a meaningless coverage position

He needs to be on the edge. If teams want to scheme against that and use an extra guy or run in the opposite direction then so be it

he REALLY struggled shedding blocks, really bad

he was lost in pass coverage

looked like he was thinking way too much

He was bad at everything he was asked to do tonight, plain and simple.

You can bitch and moan about the scheme all you want, but he didn’t even rush the passer or spy with any conviction. It was really disappointing.

when he did rush he was defeated by the blocker every time, and he is 25 lbs too lite in the arse to defeat OGs straight up in the middle

he made an incredible play running down the FSU guy and slamming him on the four yard line

5 tackles tonight

He's a pass rush specialist, and that's what he'll be in the NFL. Sadly, House and Kelly are going to drop him out if 1st round and lose him millions

He’s Lawrence Taylor. Turn him loose on the QB. The other 10 defenders can learn to play the run and/or drop in coverage.

Can you imagine the Giants playing Lawrence Taylor inside? That is what this coaching staff is doing. It’s absurd.

I would advise Perkins to transfer if this is the scheme all year...Go play where you can get 1st round money because this current scheme won't get you paid...hard to say that but it's hard to believe watching this train wreck decision Kelly...

The scheme was trash bruh. They schemed Perkins out of being a playmaker. Rushing 3 and having perkins do tire drills behind the rush was a joke.
