I have never in my life seen someone as physical on a tennis court as Shelton

He makes Roddick and nadal look week out there

Now you know it takes more than that to be a top player

I’ve just never seen someone be able to hit that hard with ground strokes under control without slapping at the ball

I mean when he figures out playing the net and constructing points better, it’s pretty dang exciting to think about what he can do

Which is crazy, because in Australia, he had pencil arms and cankles

Shelton has the making of a stud but he does have that youthful fire that can make you a bit overconfident. Pure physical player.

I’m sure I’ll be pulling him in the future. I tend to not pull for the younger guys.

He definitely has the attitude of rich kid snob, but I don’t care.

It’s a bit too much for me as a neutral.
The staredowns and flexing makes me want to root against him.

I don’t think you can root for any tennis player if that’s the case

I don’t root for anyone, I just pull for the player I hate the least

He will end up being being washed. Our culture destroys these kids and it’s fun to watch.

He’s cocky AF but tennis needs something.

I think there’s a certain cockiness that rcomes with the younger players (Nadal, Alcarez, Kyrgios, Shelton, Roddick, etc.) during their first run that’s off putting. Staring at their box and flexing for confirmation.

Nadal isn’t my favorite but I think he settled down in his later years. I don’t like Alcarez for this reason but maybe after he gets past being the up and comer he’ll calm his tits down.

I’m biased but I think Shelton is a great addition to American tennis. He’s young and has a ton of upside. Doesn’t hurt that he has a huge built in following.

Was hoping Tiafoe would win because I think he has the better shot at Novak. He’s played him strong in the past. Oh well, go shock the world youngster
