Sure, but he looked like he didn’t have much of a burst, and got stonewalled by a third team tackle

Sucks that we can’t expect much this season from our second round pick. Still, he’s only a rookie. Outside of top 5 picks, it’s hard to get productive rookie DE’s.

But it’s still wild we didn’t add a vet DE. Hopefully between Granderson and Turner we can be at least OK at that DE opposite of Cam. If not, we might need to address that at the deadline, especially if the offense looks as good as it did tonight in the regular season.

The only negative from the starters was Granderson and Turner. And the LB play outside of Werner was Hopefully Jaylon Smith adapts quickly and becomes a solid backup

After the first preseason game? Let’s pump the brakes. Not everyone looks like a star out of the gate. It’s a very hard transition from college to pro, as you well know.

They said he’s also been looking really bad in training camp. Not sure how he’s been looking, but I said multiple times in the draft threads Brian branch should have been the pick. With Honey badger on his last legs, pretty stupid to pass on the best safety in the draft. And one that excels at playing the slot.

Being lost and playing slower typically go hand and hand. Needs reps and to learn his responsibilities. He is a raw prospect
