I still wish we would’ve closed Lavia when we could have. I think he’s got potential to be world class, and we would’ve been set for years. Would be interesting to see us bring in Andre and hopefully between him, Grav, Baj, and Enzo short term some one should be able to cover the 6?

We still need to freshen up the defense (maybe 2 CB’s and a RB unless Ramsay comes along well after this loan) and RW (maybe 2 if we end up trying to cash in on Salah?)

Now that the window is closed, I really like the players we brought in, though I think of Endo is more stop gap/short term/squad... Who knows, the sample size is way too small, so lets see if he can get us through to Jan for a reassessment..

We know the other two are class, but I think RG has the talent to be as good... Let's hope Klopp (and Virg) can get the best out of him, I have high hopes now that he's a red

Overall, I think 7/10... Mainly on the strength of the incomings and clearing out some of the old guard... If we would have gotten a younger, higher quality DM (Doucoure/Andre) and a LCB (Hincapie/Ignacio), it would have been a 10/10..

If this summer was the midfield rebuild, next summer has to be defense... oh and I imagine Sarah will go then too... We should be lining up his replacement in January (Bakoyoko from PSV?)

Anyway, here's to getting back on track this season... top 4, a domestic cup and the elusive Europa League title

Also, on Salah.. this window, how much is too much to pass up?

£200mm all up front? This would be where the decision gets to be a no-brainer if I was in charge.. and could pretty much fund the complete Klopp 2.0 rebuild..

Pros:
Thats a lot of cash for a 31 yr old, though still playing at a top level

RW: Diaz, Szo, Elliot, Doak until January..
LW: Jota, Gakpo, Diaz
CF: Nunez, Jota

Cons:
No time to replace
The PR hit for FSG would be tremendous (even though it would be good business)

Also, I have no doubt that part of this late bid as the PIF trying to unsettle us in the EPL, since they own NUFC... Make that offer in June/July otherwise..

Bottom line is we need Salah now. I think they are making these offers knowing LFC will reject. If they’re offering it now, good chance they offer it later too.

Ah got it. Honestly, I think the numbers they’ve thrown are enough for us to okay. Hell, had they made these offers ant the beginning of the window he may well have been sold.

I think Salah leaving over the summer is inevitable, but the man will forever be a Liverpool legend. Nothing but respect. Going into next year with Diaz, Nuñez, Gapko, and Jota up top will be pretty strong. As far as the next window goes, I would be eyeballing at least two in the back for depth, one in the middle, and one up top.

With the late addition of Gravenberch I give us an 8/10 this window. A Centerback signing away from 10/10. We completely rebuilt the midfield and Dominic and Mac are stars. A healthy Thiago, Jones and Bajcetic and we’re deeper in the midfield than we’ve ever been under Klopp. Matip leaves for a younger CB this offseason first and foremost. Then we add a Rightback and Forward with our Salah $.

Capt. Chaos earned this start today. Hope to see him get 1 or 2 today.

That was the best set up we’ve been in a while

Alexis showing he can 100% play the 6. Granted, you can see he looks like he wants to do more in possession, he just can’t

Crazy that Dom is only 22. It still seems like he hasn’t fully unleashed in attack yet, but he covers so much ground and his defensive contributions have been huge

Curtis wasn’t anything special today, but he knows his role. Held possession well, was patient, pressed well and kept our midfield tight. All things considered, couldn’t have asked for much more as I think that was part of the reason our defense didn’t have as much to worry about

Outside of the slip against Diaby, Gomez was phenomenal

Hope nothing serious with Trent because the back line is already looking thin. Good timing with the international break coming though

Darwin is pure havoc for a high line. Well deserved start and good call doing it against Villa who like to play a higher line. His link up play I feel like is his biggest weakness, but he just makes things happen. It might seem like he goes missing, then out of nowhere creates a chance or just causes chaos. Should’ve had a hat trick, but forcing an OG and grabbing an assist are still positives for him. He’s still gonna be memed, but he’s gonna cause back lines and opposing fan bases heart attacks

And no red cards!

Can we play like this always?

Side note: I prefer watching matches on Telemundo, everything is better about their brooadcast

Early in the window we were linked with mason mount, who chose the mancs. If we would have got him, who don’t we get? sboz? At least that’s what I’ve deduced. Man we lucked out if that’s the case

Still hate that Mac has to play the 6. Would like to see him and Szobo play together at the 10 and 8 as often as possible.

We dodged a bullet on Mount. Overpriced and already injured.

I would have liked Mount at ~30-35mm (with a year left on his deal)... but at £60mm? No wonder we walked away and didnt hesitate to pay that for Dom once we were aware of his release clause... Dom is a special talent! I still pinch myself that we actually signed him..

I do think Klopp would have used Mount better than EtH... I think there is a good player in there still.. The recent history of players careers going in the gutter after moving there is remarkable... I cant think of one player that they have bought, that has improved in recent years.. Maybe an argument for Bruno, but he was already playing and scoring at a high level for Sporting when they bought him + he's the most insufferable prick in world football!

I would have loved to get an out and out 6 though. Maybe Andre in January?

I'll reask from above
Is the $200+ million from Saudi too much to turn down.
We would have to WAY overpay for any replacement in January.

Can we get the same $200m this summer? I don't know on that
