During SEC media days this week, BK said this year’s team isn’t ready to compete with UGA. I wonder if they’re sharing talking points…

Well to be fair, they destroyed LSU when they played and Iowa did the dirty work for LSU, but I get your point.

Well she wasn’t wrong in the sense that SC swept them this year and unfortunately LSU football can’t lose twice to the same SEC team and win a NC.

We only played SC once. To say they swept us makes it seem like they beat us more than once. Even announcers during the tournament said SC beat LSU both times they played.

Coachspeak.

They all do it.

Back in the day if you listened to the likes of Bear Bryant you would swear that Alabama would not only lose every game, but likely wouldn't even score.

Playing only once in a season is not a sweep

Unless I missed a behind closed doors street ball match between LSU & SC that you know of

Except they didn’t have to beat USCe to win it all. We’d have to beat UGA.

Maybe, but you wouldn’t have believed WBB wouldn’t have to beat USCe to win it all either.

If TN beats UGA in football, we might not have to.

Kim was right. We weren’t ready to compete with USC. Good thing we avoided them in the finals.

To be fair SC lost and we didn’t. That’s what a tournament is about.

Winning in the post season is all about matchups. SC was the only team LSU IMO couldn't matchup with (size inside was lacking)

LSU WBB talent and depth wise was truly probably a year away but the beauty of sports is teams often succeed or overachieve with what they have on paper. Stay healthy, get hot at the right time, special things can happen. Of course Mulkey being the HC helped significantly.

I don't see anything wrong with what CBK is saying. Its coach speak, they may be in a better situation depth wise in spots next year, doesn't mean they aren't capable or won't achieve the goals they want this season.

A guy named Bear Bryant used to poor mouth pretty well so CBK is in good company.
