They just looked so composed. Very impressive.

This is such a breath of fresh air. The only time we ever saw attacking football the last few seasons was when we inevitably went down 2-0 in the middle of the second half and then scrambled around to try and scratch out 1 point. Under Ange we’re attacking no matter the score.
If Richarlison ever figures out how to play Ange ball, look out.

Ange, “I’m just copying Pep, Mate!” This freaking guy, such a great interview.

Anyone have a a guess to the line up for the cup match tomorrow? I really want them to go hard for the cups this year but I know players getting rest is important. I’d like to see Lo Celso in for Madders and Soloman for Kulu. Keep the back line intact and let them get more minutes together.

9 changes from the weekend.
Forster, Royal, Sanchez, Van de Ven, Davies, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Perisic, Richarlison, Solomon.

Want to see what Solomon can do. That’s a lot of change, but this group did pretty good last time out.
Richy going to get a hat trick today!

I liked Manor Solomon for us, last year, he had a great five or six game run, then disappeared again; even when Mitro was suspended.
Anyone with a good link to a stream?

Forester and Sanchez are arse

For being a giant Forster was absolutely terrible on pens. Literally 4 out of the 5 were hit within a foot of the middle of the goal, and none with any extraordinary pace.

5 PKs to the keepers left, 4 dives to the right.
Sanchez...oh man. I'm sure it was a great opportunity if he converts to get him in good graces on Spurs fans, but the backlash he's going to get now isn't worth it.

Knew it was over when Sanchez stepped up to take a PK.
Still excited about Ange ball, but easy to forget we're still Spurs, and this is a cup tie.

It’s been a solid start to the season, but this L is on big Ange. You can’t make that many changes to the starting lineup, against a solid premiere league club away from home, and expect to win imho. I thought we might be in trouble when that lineup was released. Especially given the rhetoric from Ange about taking the cups seriously, and looking at how the previous two managers treated the competitions. Very disappointing.

I was going to watch when I got home, well now I will get some chores done instead. From what I've read, it was disappointing play all around.

So just to recap this summer...
We started with Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga, Romero,& Lenglet as CB options and we are going to end the window with Sanchez, Dier, Tanganga, Romero, & VDV as CB options.
We started with Kane & Richy as striker options and we are going to end with Richy & Veliz as striker options.
All while operating on a roughly 15m net spend for the window.
This is going to work out brilliantly.

It’s a joke ownership group that doesn’t really care about the success on the field. And With the additional revenue streams they’ve created through concerts, the nfl & other sporting events, they’ve been able to insulate themselves from really needing success on the field at this point too. It’s a money making machine at this point, and I doubt they’ll sell any time soon.

Tanganga
I can’t believe he’s still in the squad after the past 3 seasons. He’s the British version of Carter-Vickers.
