If it was Stab’s, it would go to reason that Chez Ciccone was ask to leave. He was the minority at the Tarzan auditions that are held most evenings. Cheif Milk Dud was looking for a tribal leader role I’m sure. MP lives in Pelican Point. Why else would he come to The City He made seconded only to Chocolate City in crime. If you voted for Broome you have to be asking yourself “ other than stop St. George incorporation “ but not because she’s a racist. WTF has she done that your vote makes you proud of! Fact is not racial.

This article is worded extremely oddly. Ciccone's quote of "leave me alone" makes it sound like Paul would have approached him, but the content of the argument, that Paul wasn't returning Ciccone's phone calls, would almost certainly be instigated by Ciccone.

I have a feeling both of them were acting like jackasses.

People need to hound Paul whenever he is out in public. He's done a terrible job and the only person that has tried to take him to task on any of it was fired from WAFB, and even though she's recently won media awards, he refuses to treat her like a member of the media.

IS True he is not a resident of EBR. He and his girlfriend were on the infamous State Police San Diego trip that made the Side Stop at the Grand Canyon. But most just wanted Mike Edmonson’s head for allowing it. Not those involved! Just say’n. And if it takes telling less informed people what they can’t see for having their HIA, then yea got it off my chest, buttercup!

Despite whatever negative feelings and opinions are out there about MP, why tf does the Shed owner think that he has any special rights to any information about that investigation? The father made a statement on the FB link to the article and the mother was attacking against the owner as well stating that he is not their spokesperson.

Anyone who has followed the investigation from the beginning when there was actually news about it should recognize this as a personal vendetta.

What I find the most shocking is that WAFB actually reported this. They usually only report what SWB tells them and I would think she wouldn't want this to be reported.

I may feel differently if it weren’t MP, but…nope. He makes *everything* personal. Banning Kiran from media events, firing anyone who dares to criticize him, etc. I don’t care if The Shed owner wanted to bitch about a speeding ticket; any reason is fine with me if it’s against that guy.

Are you a parent? Of you give an inch a mile will be expected. This crime is a result of that from the top down.

Haven’t read this whole thread yet but Murphy Paul has been involved with lots of “heated exchanges” with people within the community and law enforcement field. Assuming it’s being reported on now since he’s essentially no longer the chief. Paul is a terrible leader who was way over his head. It was always his way or no way at all. He would get in people’s faces and was extremely disrespectful. I’m honestly surprised no one has punched him. He’s extremely unprofessional and am personally glad he’s out. Unfortunately, I feel the next chief won’t be any better.

ETA: I was in homicide with BRPD from 2019-2021. He’s the direct reason why I left the department. I’m much better off and happier now but working homicide was my career goal and I loved that I job and will always miss it.

The best thing you can do for your department and the city of Baton Rouge is to resign immediately.

I guess an announcement that you’re stepping down isn’t enough for some people.
