re: Fertilizing newly seeded Bermuda

The Bermuda is starting to come in. Went ahead and put fertilizer out as recommended.
Now I’m questioning this “weed” coming in. A bunch single shoots of whatever it is. Hoping it’s not torpedo. Any idea? Maybe nutsedge?

Nutsedge. Mow often and continue to get your new bermuda healthy.

When I first seeded some areas I felt like I had more nutsedge than Bermuda. Like ronk said, get the Bermuda healthy and thriving and don’t worry about the nutsedge yet. Give the new growth a few months before treating it.
