No because we've signed 1 midfielder in a side that has zero depth in the holding midfield position and wait yeah Mount is a CAM. Also in case you missed it we sold Fred for 15 Million and then turned down 30 for Mctominay for whatever reason. Lastly every team around us in the Prem are bolstering their sides and United have signed a developmental striker, an attacking midfielder, and a goalkeeper. Edit: Oh forgot one more Johnny fricking Evans

If you can't see a problem in the way this club is handling transfers obviously you just enjoy getting kicked in the nuts.

Overspend

What a tantrum

It must be the end of the transfer window. All of the drama queens, doom merchants, and armchair scouts are making man utd forums unreadable.

Edit: you don’t know shite

yes a tantrum because the club I’ve supported my entire life and been attending games in old trafford since 2003 can’t compete with other big clubs in England.

Other clubs have FFP issues and get around them by selling players. United can’t even do that without screwing up. Some of us care about the shape of the club and hold United to a higher standard.

Obviously you are a new fan post fergie who have aspirations of just squeaking by. I get it dude.

We’re gatekeeping and virtue signaling now on top of absolutely cracking analysis

I’ve been tuned in and behind the team since the mid 90’s, not that it matters.

It is a different game completely now and Fergie is indeed retired.

His accomplishments will not be replicated, and the club will struggle to compete for titles in perpetuity. Might as well find enjoyment somehow no?

We have a good team and a fine coach for a change. And we’ve taken 2 out of 3 to start while showing improvement.

The county and entitled internet culture around the club is part of the problem.

This is how they act after a top 3 league finish and 2 cup finals. Very tangible improvement.

Forget that we have a solid core of players all coming into their prime years at the same time. Bayern Munich want McTominay as a simple example, they’d help him pack while howling for a signing of somebody like Amrabat. More signings more signings.

Dude no one is saying our team is shite, literally never said that our team is good and we have the best manager we’ve had in years but he’s going to have to coach his arse off AGAIN with zero help from upper management. Ask any long time fan and they will say the same. It’s frustrating for a top 3 club in the world to be continually acting this way and not back their manager.

But yeah totally gatekeeping and whining.

No way you actually believe that, where is the offer? I’m guessing you are referring to the swap deal Bayern reportedly wanted for Gravenberch which turned out to be completely false.

Serious question and not flaming do you think ETH would strip the captaincy off of Maguire and transfer list Mctominay if he had them in his future plans? No, if top clubs wanted them there would have been concrete offers. The only ones that came thru were for Maguire/Mcsauce for 60 mil but we didn’t take that. It should have been sorted out.

Our manager who is working his arse off and clearly wants certain players in or out doesn’t get what he wants and come the end of the window we are scrounging the bottom of the barrel for players like Amrabat, Cucarella, Hojberg.

I think people (not pointing fingers at anybody in particular) fail to realize just how badly the club had been run up until recently. The contracts that many of these players are on are what's keeping potential transfer suitors away so it is going to take time to shed the dead weight while making smarter fiscal decisions going forward. The market absolutely exploding for top level players is exacerbating the issue as well. We will be in this hole for a few more years at least.

I would love to find new staff for a fresh start under a new club owner but who knows how our current people would work out under better stewards. I just hope ten Hag sticks around long enough because I think he is the manager for the job right now.

Just drew Bayern for CL in Group A. No Sevilla or Feyenoord.

Group A
Bayern Munich
Manchester United
FC Copenhagen
Galatasaray

Right?
I didn’t want to go there but my god we have some cluelessly delusional supporters. English Dallas Cowboys on their best day in the modern era.

Manchester United is one of the most recognizable sporting brands in the world and is definitely the largest in England. Hell in Forbes alone they have jumped from #3 in 2022 to #2 in the worlds most valuable clubs.

You may not like it but its the truth.

The only club that is larger than United is Real Madrid and arguably Barcelona.

you said best not largest, big difference.

united probably the largest club in the world, currently crumbling under the weight of its global support's entitlement.
