I use a .44 magnum and a .270, is there a good in between rifle between those two, looking to buy a new rifle but not sure what I need or if I even need one with the two I use. Thanks for any advice!

I’ve been looking at a .350 Legend. Seems like a fun caliber

Well, you've got just about everything covered already.

Of course, everyone always needs a new rifle. You need a real magnum. You need a .338 win mag or a .375 h&h. Get some real horsepower in the safe!

ORRRRRR the opposite end of the spectrum, a really nice .223 with a SWFA SS 3-15x42 and start blasting everything.

Both are acceptable answers.

You don't own a .30-06 yet??? Are you a communist?

Next hunting rifle I buy or build will be a threaded 16 inch barrel and will be suppressed. Probably in .308 or 7mm08 or something else that does well out of a short barrel.

You need a Big Bopper in your life.

A 375HH will do.

Mine gives me an erection every time I shoot it.

Get a 30-30 lever dude. Assuming your 44 is break action for primitive

+1 on the 30/30. Plenty power for a deer. Ammo is cheap and easy to find.

257 WBY. Flat shooting. Low recoil. Lightning bolt impact.

.308

You’re not gonna be able to tell much practical difference between it and the 270 but when ammo gets tight there is always 308 on the shelf. One of those calibers everyone should have one.

7 rem mag or 300 win mag if you want a western capable magnum without getting too deep into the other options.

If still not sold, look at something like 22-250 or 223/5.56 that will be light recoiling and fun to shoot, that also makes a good varmit/coyote gun.

Between those two is .223. Or .224 Valkyrie or 22-250 to be different.

You need a 308, most versatile cartridge with the most variety of factory ammo . You'll never not be able to find 308 ammo.
