How about actually trying to score? He could have struck it before contact was even made. Instead he stuck his leg out to go down.

frick Saka for not trying to score there. That was a disgrace.

Man that was insane. His touch didn't even get away from him. He had an open net and chose that.

can’t help but think they had a perfect opportunity to win the match and squandered it

If anything Saka should have been given a yellow for that kick on the keeper.

Just like Sane who went down on a lesser foul? bullshite. The ref sucked all match long.

I think the moment was too big for Saka there. Hopefully he learns from it, could have won it.

At least we didnt lose but yeah this killed the mood, especially with the good start.

Haven't looked, but was Tomi nursing an injury? Strange that he subbed kiwior during the city match and dropped him the next two games to just start him this game.

Haha Saliba clearly fouled him

Extremely winnable game, definitely a disappointing result

Really good learning experience for the team and Arteta tbh. They'll hopefully be better in the second leg for it!

Saka my man.... why did you not just shoot right away! You can either go through his legs or bend it around Neuer on your left foot!?!?!?!?! 3-2 W if he scores rigth at the end!

If you watch the frame by frame Nuer makes the contact

It’s a dead on pen. He actually kicks his leg out towards the ball and misses it and gets saka. His leg is moving towards the ball and saka shuffles it past him and he makes contact.

What’s embarrassing is you calling saka a bitch for being tripped.

Are you a spurs or Chelsea fan?

The frame by frame does look more like a pen then the replay during the coverage the game. But that is always tough to say yes or no when you break it down that slow. Saka still should have done better.

Also I love posters like Alyosha in our thread, pathetic and can't help themselves. We all have bias's but this guy takes the cake. He's got the Spurs badge so far up his arse, it is coming out of his mouth. Stay stay in the match thread you boob.

We are a threat to win things again, and its good to be here.

when you watch it at full speed you would then see saka has no chance to dodge that. He’s actually lifting his leg to avoid being tripped because neuer is swinging that rt leg toward the ball.

It’s a tough call but that’s why you have var and let the ref go look at it. Almost need a coaches challenge.

But we also made this harder than it should have been.

We Spurs know our place not having trophies, being Spursy and such. We own it. This existence actually helps develop our dark comedic, self-deprecating sense of humor which maintains a state of reality. Calling Saka’s dive a pen merely perpetuates the Gooner delusion of which makes me appreciate not being part of that culture.

I've looked at it a bit more and agree, it was a penalty.

There's one angle that oddly looks like Saka kicks his leg completely out but the other angles show that wasn't so.

This ref acted like a tough guy all game yet didn't really have the balls at all to make the call.

Alphonso Davies with a yellow so he will miss the 2nd leg. Serge Gnabry just announced will miss 2-3 weeks with a hamstring injury he got in the 2nd half of yesterday's game so he is out also.

Both of those players pace caused us problems yesterday, they'll be HUGE misses for Bayern next week in Germany.

Have Tomiyasu shadow Sane on the left and we hopefully will fix those defensive mistakes.
