I never understood why yeskie went to A&M when CJJ got this job. Especially considering Schloss is a world class d-bag.

I thought I remember that he had accepted the A&M job before we hired Jay.

That is Schloss. He is an outstanding pitching coach.

CJJ said at the time CWJ announced that he was leaving that "this is the best college coaching position in college baseball. I am not worried about finding a pitching coach". Safe to assume CJJ is picking the best coach for the job.

Averaging like a 5 ERA over the last 5 years. Maybe that excites you.

Tell us who should have hired since you know everything there is to know about pitching coaches

Maybe he’s respected for something else? Looks like below average ERAs follow him around. Coincidence?

I get it, you’re pretty ignorant with the college baseball landscape. It’s ok, most people are. But from someone who follows the sport closely, Yeski is a really good pitching coach. Even won Assistant Coach of the Year at OSU.

If you want to look at A&M’s ERA in the SEC last year as the barometer of his pitching coaching abilities, then I’d say that’s very short sighted.

We were hiring no one that was going to be as good as Wes Johnson.

Lol. In 2017. So your logic is to ignore his recent stints but bring up being assistant coach of the year 6 years ago?

I think I can speak for everyone in this thread that we all trust Jay’s judgement over yours.

And why hasnt yeskie gotten a head job yet with all his cws appearances

Maybe only wants one of a handful of jobs. Look at Wes. He had a choice of college jobs. Being head man at a career killer isnt the best way to go for every one

Bingo! Back in 2004, Jimbo was offered the Head Coaching job at Mississippi State. He had a couple days to decide. Jimbo called a good friend of mine. My friend told Jimbo, hold off, a better job will come along. My friend also said, if you are wanting my opinion, I just gave it. If you are calling to offer me a job, I’ll have to turn you down. If I told my wife we are moving back to Starkvegas, she would kill me!
Jimbo turned it down, Start hired Sy Croom.

Yes, that’s what I’m saying. The SEC was tough this year. Heck without Skenes, LSU’s pitching was dogcrap for 90% of the year. Wes Johnson sucks too?

And a month ago, this board was calling for Wes’ head.

He has been to the CWS 5 of the last 10 years at places that don’t recruit as well as LSU.

Please don’t bring facts into this. Some of the fans on here need something to complain about.
