Yeah, I feel the same Cheer. I've experienced all of our championship teams and watched a lot of baseball, but there was something special about this group of guys. We had a lot of guys whom we had gotten to know for a few years and then added some amazing new guys who fit right in.
Beyond the talent, this is perhaps our most likeable team ever.

Imagine if they would have lost the finals and would have to live with coming close, but not winning it all. Talk about depressing.
That's what made winning the finals so damn special. I just wanted this group to finish knowing that it all came together, their sacrifice paid off, and they left with a National Championship. Can you imagine Skenes and Crews leaving LSU without one? I'm so happy for all of the guys, especially the ones leaving.

I feel the same way Cheer. This team was special and it couldn’t have ended any better for them. As happy as I was to win the whole thing, I was almost immediately depressed at the same time. I think for me it’s because the core of this team has been here for 3–4–5 years and we have watched them all succeed at the highest level, as well as fail. We are now able to watch every pitch of the season so for me that meant most of these kids were in my living room for four nights a week for the past five seasons and now they’re gone.
Gonna suck not seeing anymore Belly Bombs or those curls at 1st, or seeing Gavin get hbp, or hearing Calabria 2008.
At least we remember them now as national champions.

It dates back to Paul's last season, he had a lot of these guys on that team. Even last year when Jay was starting out, it felt like we were building up for a big run this year, and did we ever.

Yep. That was another part for me. I’m sure it gave Paul a little bit of closure since the score was made up of players, he recruited. He even mentioned as much in that interview on the field after the game Monday.
I’m not like a lot of clowns on here that want to shite on Paul every chance they get. The man was a rockstar at LSU. That doesn’t mean I’m blind and didn’t see that it was time for a change, but he was nothing but class while he was here.

I’m jacked to see how successful the transfer portal will be. LSU sports at near an all time high and you know top line players want to be a part of our national championship program. CJJ is the real deal. Bregman, Skenes, and Crews are stars in the making in the Show. Tradition and the greatest fans and I see Jay taking us to Omaha at least three out of five years.
