Well he did order some lockdown restrictions, which you say were ignored. I think he did an excellent job on Covid. Trump was not as good. But he did order some lockdowns.

Trump posts dozens of articles a day on his Truth Social account. Almost all of them are from right leaning sources like Breitbart, Daily Caller, and Right Side Broadcasting.

Are you claiming that him posting one article from MSNBC is enough to supersede the dozens of right leaning articles he posts?

No, he didn't. Restrictions, sure. Lockdowns, nope.

Or I can say I disagree with him here. When he was President my income went up, my taxes went down, we had no wars, and I like that about him.

And they all disappeared during Covid and when he left office.

Desantis has a completely similar platform as Trump, but has a track record of actually being effective in making things last instead of just doing vapor policy, is almost 40 years younger, has made Florida perhaps the best state in the country, has detailed plans to achieve his goals through not just EO but legislation, and can be President for 8 years instead of 4.

And he's not making allies with far leftists.

The choice is easy.

This is not DeSantis’ fault, but Florida can never become the best state because of…..Floridians. I think we can all agree on that.

First of all, yes. No Republican candidate should be using far left activists to attack a Conservative opponent. It should be a disqualifier.

Second, he has done this on several occasions. He has quoted Joy Reid and the George Soros Foundation, among many others.

He said that Andrew Cuomo did a better job than Ron Desantis.

You have to admit, that for ANY OTHER CANDIDATE, these would kill them.

Florida is top two. I wouldn't say it's the best, but that's only because Montana hasn't been completely overrun by California...yet.

Government/policy wise.

They are adding residents at a record pace, their economy is off the charts, and they are legislating with absolute ruthless efficiency a Conservative Agenda that is paying massive dividends.

Trump talks a lot but doesn't actually getting anything of lasting import done.

It is inexplicable.

You quoted the reason... "you didn't even quote the part Donald Truthed from the article".

You did not provide the quote because it would have been more difficult to play the guilt by association game.

Fun Bunch, Ron is not perfect. That is okay. He made mistakes but in the context of the time he did a good job. Don is attacking him now on this issue to neutralize Team DeSantis on the issue. Politics. And no Donald is not joining forces with Mehdi Hasan. Mehdi Hasan hates Trump.

The only lockdowns I am aware of were for parts of Southern Florida:

At the request of those County Governments.

DB was correct. Restrictions, but not lockdowns. I haven’t looked at the EOs in a bit, but I do recall bars being shut down. It’s not a big deal to me. I think DeSantis did better during Covid than trump.

Why are you ok with this?

Would you be ok with ANY other candidate doing something this egregious? You wouldn't.

It is one of trumps poor qualities. I wish he didn’t attack Ron. It it is what worked in 2016 so he is sticking to what worked. I think he does himself a disservice.

Trump isn't rigidly principled on anything. He sails in whichever direction his grudges push him. If that means citing a leftist nut job to underlie a grudge match, that's what he'll do.
