It definitely did. Columbine was 24 years ago. There have been many such incidents in the decades since.
Edit: not old enough for you? What about the San Ysidro McDonald's massacre in 1984? Want older? What about the Texas University Tower shooting in 1966? Does it hurt your dishonest point that this isn't just a part of American culture that you have grown up in and helped perpetuate?

Just like someone that blew people to hell back in the 1920’s, human’s are and will always continue to be violent to kill each other. That’s not changing, short of first contact that try’s to enlighten us, but we would probably frick that up.
