No worries they will schedule it for maximum political carnage.

The recording "shows" nothing of the sort. What the recording "shows" is the government's willingness to leak.
So when he is holding the plan to attack Iran and refers to it as "top secret", what do you think it says about Trump?

This would require the jury to believe trump was being honest during the part of the tape where he says he was holding classified docs and lying during the part of the tape where he say as he can’t show them. That destroys the beyond a reasonable doubt standard.

I know you really want your political opponent to be jailed, but the recording isn’t the winner you need to effectively persecute someone with different politics than you.

At what point in the recording, specifically does he say “I’m holding the attack plan on Iran?”

Likely more of his puffery. Without the document, how will the government prove which alleged classified documents he was waiving around?

Jail, no jail doesn't matter. A guilty verdict is all that is needed. As to the tape leak, it could have come from the owners of the recording, not the government prosecutors.

This part of the overall case happened at bedminster, in New York. Different venue can get a separate trial on that alone up in the NY district.

The rare admission that you are just fine with weaponizing government against someone you disagree with politically. You are not a good person. At least you admit to it.

I've been assured that this is the prosecution's attempt to frame some issue. What issue that is, or how this accomplishes that goal, I couldn't begin to tell you.

Trump has known what he's up against for literally years now and chose not to do anything about it when he actually could have except tweet.

What these morons fail to understand is that the person we elect to stand between us and their "secret plans" is the guy they're trying to say is a traitor. A traitor to who, I'd like to know.

Just my opinion but I believe the writer interviewing Trump was in possession of the classified documents. She obtained a copy of the classified documents from someone affiliated with the New Yorker magazine. They were discussing the article published by the New Yorker a few days prior. It was a hit piece by the New Yorker using General Milley as a source that Donald wanted to militarily attack Iran and omnipotent General Milley kept OMB from moving forward with the attack. Donald denies everything.

When Don says, "let me see that", in all probability he is not asking for something already in his hands, on his desk or near by. He is asking to see the documents being held by the person he is talking to.

Apparently the document in question exonerates Trump war hawk position against Iran that Milley was accusing him of in the New Yorker article.

Furthermore, Trump saying that this document is classified puts Milley in trouble not Trump. That's why he mentioned the classification status. It was not his document. It was the writers, IMO. It was a copy of the national security information from General Milley used to write the New Yorker magazine hit piece on Trump.

Now I know Trump could clear this up in a second by coming out and saying exactly what happened but there are risk involved with this and he loses leverage in future proceedings if he does clarify the matter now.

Finally the fact that Trump's defense team has indicated that they are ready to go to trial leads me to believe that they want to divulge this info to the court/jury for maximum effect.

Trump had the only copy? Where's Milley's copy of this Super Secret Iran Plan?

Very well could be. In which case, Milley is the fricking traitor, not The President.
