Why not next year Jay will go portal hunting again and with our returning pieces a return trip is certainly in the cards

I mean I'd like to think we can go back next year but it's not exactly easy. We lost a lot but the portal makes things interesting for some of the big swinging dicks in the baseball world like LSU.

You never know when the next championship will be because that's hard as hell but I expect Jay to make Omaha fairly often

I truly believe with our coach and playing the transfer portal and NIL like a fricking violin, the question should be... Do you think we will miss Omaha again?

We will probably have a more complete pitching staff next year and the year following. I still want to see how we fill the open holes in the lineup around Tanks before getting too far ahead of myself. I do know this - we're going to be very good next year and the year following, strictly based on the arms.

LSU won't miss the ncaa tourney like Miss St and Ole Miss have done since they won their natties

This board will explode if we pull a MSU or Ole Miss and shite the bed next year. Thankfully, I don't see that happening. But it will be harder than many think. We can get dudes in the portal, but you are losing leaders and chemistry that can't easily be replaced. Thankfully Jay made sure some of the young guys (Kling, Jones, etc) got reps in the CWS so they can share their experience moving forward.

I think we'll be back in two years, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were next year and we are move deep into the CWS. Too many variables to really know... injuries, transfers in/out, draft, etc

LSU will make it next year - long shot to win it. Going to be real young.

Jay fricken Johnson is our coach, our bats will always be good too.

We’ll probably earn a National seed most years, and make it to Omaha half the time.

Silly has been 8 of his 15 years at UF. I expect Jay to have very similar numbers. We should be in Omaha frequently.

Much better. Jay makes Omaha 7 of the next 10 years and wins it three more times.

We should be making Omaha more often than we miss it. Do that and NC’s will take care of themselves.

Absolutely, I'm getting my reservations early.

Seriously, I don't remember listening to Coach that gives me more confidence than Jay Johnson.

Thank you guys - love the responses and I have been telling friends we will not be waiting 14 more years with this coach and the transfer portal!
