DraftKings has lsu +1.5 @-180 with moneyline at -110. That’s a very unusual line

Nah, it makes sense. Most games have been 1-3 run games, so they are charging a large price to grab +1.5. IMO, if you are going to bet this game, dont take the run line, take the moneyline

Gotcha. That’s what I was thinking too. That spread is a bad value

When I was a teenager and sports betting was popular, I learned that betting for or against LSU lost me money.

I hate LSU losing more than I hate losing money.

I'll admit to buying a lottery ticket every now and then.

Making money on lsu baseball the first month or so this year was really easy. Except for the bulls shite null bets on run ruled games.

If you are going to take a run line, take -1.5 at + money

Fan Duel has LSU -1.5 at +154

I sprinkled some on the run line along with the ML. We generally win by margin when we beat someone.

I just did a quick perusal and if my counting is correct, only 4 of LSU’s 52 wins this season were by 1 run, getting a healthy amount of extra juice seems worth it.

Would someone explain this to me like I’m a senator from Pennsylvania?

You’re polling well in the suburbs but it’s a tossup in the big cities. 538 still shows you’re leading but it depends on a couple key districts. If our machine can stuff the ballots and guarantee the Philly precinct, we’re confident you’ll win

Those are the odds on the bet. If the odds are negative it’s the amount needed to bet to win $100. If they are positive if the amount a $100 bet will return. Basically you are betting $110 to make $100 for an LSU win and $180 to make $100 for us to stay within a run. Typically that line would be more like -145. It just means Vegas is getting more action on the game being close than people picking a winner. The odds for -1.5 for Florida are paying around +150 which is a good price when they have a money line around -120. Shows they are having a hard time getting people to give up runs.

Betting on games like this are always more indicative of the action and not a true prediction. They aren’t nearly as good at pricing college baseball as something like the NFL. Hell the O/U for the Skenes/Louder game was 7.5…
