You must just stop watching when he’s on defense.

I hope Jordan Thompson delivers against Florida in a big way.

While I certainly hope he delivers against Florida this comparison to Cresse is not a good one.
Cresse was batting .388 with 30 home runs and over 100 RBI's during the year. Yes he had an aweful World Series, but he had led that vaunted offense in almost every single category throughout the year - average, OBP, SLG, OPS, RBI's, HR, Hits. Of any players that played the majority of the season, he was leading in almost every category. You continue to give a guy like that opportunities because you know the percentages are in your favor that he is going to turn it around. Now let's compare that with Thompson.
Of guys that have played at least 50 games this year, Thompson ranks 4th in hits, 7th in HR's, 3rd in RBI's, 8th in average, 10th in OBP, 9th in SLG and 9th in OPS. I guess I am just confused as to why so many are confident he will turn it around when there is little evidence of him doing that during the year. I truly hope I am wrong and that he comes out and dominates against Florida and if so, I will gladly eat crow. I just haven't seen anything from him this year and especially during the WS that would lead me to believe he will. Also, I don't know if this has been pointed out, but per secsports.com/boxscore, he actually got a hit against Tennessee in the first game of the College World Series. In the bottom of the 6th they gave him an infield single.

I expect it. No reason why he won't migrate back toward the mean. (Just please don't ask him to bunt again and in fairness, those failed bunts took away some opportunities for hits as well).

He almost got one in the 2nd I believe when he hit it in outfield but it was barely foul he would have come around then. And that would have been a very big hit

Because he has been very close to having a few big hits a few games ago. He has at least 1 hard hit right into a shift (or 3rd had a great read), and 2 different at bats where the ball was hit solid but just foul.

I also get why so many are doubting it as he's had some bad strikeouts and quite a few week dribblers.

Your post confirms that you are garbage in every facet of baseball understanding. I expect this is also true in most facets of life as well.

It's sad that Milazzo has more hits in the CWS than Thompson, and he hasn't played in half the games.

On the brink of winning a championship and you are still a Loser, making negative comments about the team.

Thompson and Milazzo both should work on bunting.

Yeah his body language tells it all. He looks like his dog just died. But streaks good and bad always end in baseball.
