I quit EVE, or as the playerbase refer to it, I've been winning EVE since 2018. It can be extremely fun but also very addicting (I would run 4 accounts at the same time).
About the only similarities with EVE are the submarine movement mechanics. Starfield space combat is flight sim and EVE is not. EVE Combat was still very fun for me but it is very different from Starfield combat.
Exploration is a path that a lot of players go down in EVE. I only dabbled in it but a lot of people make their money in game doing this. I had two combat characters on 2 of my accounts and 2 jump freighter pilots (space truckers) on the other two to make money to support all the stuff I got blown up in on the other two.

Like 10 years or so ago i went to a buddies apt and he had EVE and i was like this is amazing, im gonna get it. HE was like DO NOT GET IT, it will ruin your life

This. If you have not done it, join the UC Vanguard and do the flight sim. If you have already done Vanguard, go back to flight sim.

Guys be careful when storing weapons on the racks on your ship. I did that a few days ago and just went to grab some and they had all vanished. People on reddit are saying the same thing happened to them. I had some great rare and legendary weapons on that rack too

It’s because the girl isn’t following correctly. I’ve tried restarting several times and get stuck at various doorways while she stands at the beginning of the level. Haven’t found a solution on Reddit so will probably need to wait for the next patch and hope they fix it.

I can't wait for carry weight and vendor money mods. My trips returning from "kill x guy" missions are miserable.

They're already out there. Just make sure you also add the achievements mod so you don't get locked out, since most of the mods right now are just console commands via the .ini file.

yeah, I had the same issue with the Razorleaf.
once I upgraded/modified the ship, the weapon racks work and will save your guns. I'm not sure what mod exactly made it work, but I moved the armory hab to a different position, saved, then found the ladder placement sucked so I moved it back to original.
after that update, the weapon racks have worked so maybe try the same.

but this game really is missing some evil companions. all are too good to have with you when you're doing some hood rat shite.

Yeah, Sarah has zero stealth mode. I will try to sneak around some spacers to flank them, and she is always frick that. Start tossing grenades and telling them they messed up now.

Companions are a real weak spot here. Skyrim had the most amazing cast of companions, these guys are all moralistic counts.
