Nope.

The Good Lord gifted us this life.

Never said it would be easy.

He wants us to pursue him, be humble, and enjoy life as much as we are able and spread his gospel.

Joy and happiness are not derived externally but internally.

External is happiness from outside sources and can be confused with joy and is often fleeting and short lived.

It took me a lot of suffering to sort this out myself.

Have faith. Be awesome. Alter your course if it needs correction and use the Lord as your "lighthouse" reference point when the seas get rough.

Pray daily.

As long as you don’t follow suit, let ‘em do it.

On a large scale it sucks and is hurting things but just live your life and don’t partake in the culture of it isn’t what you want.

I’ve never been into social media(and I grew up as it was EXPLODING, I’m 33)
Owned 3 vehicles in my life averaging $14,833 dollars a piece.
I have what I need and what makes me happy.

And that isn’t for everyone. All I’m saying if YOU’RE feeling some anxiety about the pressure you feel from this material world, internalize it and really ponder what you’re feeling. And don’t hesitate to kick social norms and live a life that makes you happy and content.

Not at all

Yes. The twisting of logic and morality to fit your own desires becoming so acceptable has also got me questioning my approach to life as well.

I’ve been dealing with a situation over the last week…
My school where I work was having sand delivered to top dress athletic fields. On the last delivery I went to get the delivery ticket. As I’m standing there the driver hit a power line with the trailer and caught it on fire. As soon as he tried to get out of the truck, he was electrocuted. Truck ended being engulfed in flames. Driver survived with only 30% burns from being electrocuted.

Can’t get the burning truck and the image of the driver being electrocuted out of my head…

Times are a changin' and not very much for the better in this country. Some days can be depressing as hell reading or watching the news.

I don’t watch or read the news. I don’t let any outside noise affect my life. When im not at my day job, I garden, spend time with the family, and work on my farm have tons of animals. I enjoy my life.

Life without Jesus Christ is designed to be ultimately unfulfilling. Perhaps this is the Holy Spirit tugging at your heart. Showing you the futility of a God-less life. There absolutely is peace in Him. I hope you find it.

I’m just tired of doing for everyone else and never being able to do for myself. I’m the cook, the cleaner, the shopper, the lawn man, and the chauffeur. Can’t get an hour to workout or play on my gaming computer. Chores, kids, work, etc. Haven’t seen my friends in forever because of course no time for that. Everybody has issues that I have to help figure out. Nostalgia is like a drug to me.
Hoping eventually it passes when my kids get older

I go through this every single day of my life. I try to separate myself from this culture as much as possible without completely leaving society. It’s an everyday struggle.
