Anyone not enjoying their bubba blade? I got one for christmas and have been using it more lately. The ergonomics of it seem off and they make it hard to hold the trigger down. Think I am switching back to the cheaper electric models.

I use the hell out of it. Put a mister twister blade on it for much improvement. I admit though I wanted to give up on it like you. After using it more I am much better with it and have no waste and can clean through fish very fast.

Big Boss bought me one for Christmas. Found it was like holding a beer can and returned it. Way too big around for my liking.

I agree the ergonomics could be better. But I can go through a cooler of snapper or blue cats twice as fast. However, I prefer my white handled filet knives for specs and sacalait.

I like the Rapala Blades for Reds and the Mister Twister for Specks (Both fit.) Yes, ergonomics could be better.

Like others said I use the mister twister blade for bass and brim. I have no issues with mine.

I find the flatness of the mister twister blade slides along the spine of the fish easier.

The black parts of the Rapala blades bang violently against the housing of mine.

I really like the knife, but wish it were faster.

I have the cordless first version and don’t like mine.

The heavy duty rapala ( A/C power) is my go to. Beats everything else I have tried.

Had no idea these were supposed to be better blades. I have the cordless Rapala knife, but also an old mister twister laying around. Guess I need to try out those blades if they'll fit the Rapala.

The Mr Twister blades for specs.

I have the A/C powered one and its a beast on reds and snapper. IT has alot more arse than the battery version.

I have one but haven’t even tried it yet.

It was a birthday present from a good friend.

Mine came with 3 different blade sets.

The old timer cordless is hard to beat. I picked one up on Amazon for 35-40 bucks and haven’t used Bubba since. I do ise bunba for larger reds and sheepshead.

I was fixing to order one but Amazon had the cordless old timer regular $99 on sale for $36 so I went with it instead.

I have a corded Old Timer with Mr Twister blades that stays on my boat. It's inexpensive and works well.

I've never felt the need to go cordless. If I filet fish, it's at the dock fish cleaning station, at my camper if I'm camping at the lake, or at my house. I do keep 2 traditional filet knives on the boat as backups.
