Seems like a no brainer to get floyd the work and use coleman in relief if it looks like we are gonna lose late

Interesting to think about it now
I almost want to say Coleman but either way I think we will be fine

Agreed. I don’t think A&M can sustain their magical pitching

I’m 71. I’ve never played baseball but I’ve played cricket for most of my life. Saying hello from Mumbai.

I would go Floyd for about 60 pitches, then Coleman for 100 pitches, or to close, depending which comes first.

I want to finish stretching Coleman before the NCAA tournament, and I don’t want to miss the opportunity in case we lose and are eliminated.

If we are well ahead when Floyd is at 60 I’d extend Floyd another 4 batters, or so, then go Herring and the bullpen, in hopes of winning and having one more game in which to start Coleman.

But stretch Coleman! I feel good about our chances with four quality arms in Skenes, Floyd, Coleman and Hurd, with Cooper, Guidry (?), Herring and Ack in the pen. That’s more than enough to win it all, just need them to be on and a little timely hitting.

I don’t think they are going to stretch Coleman all the way to 100. He only threw 65 pitches on Sunday. Upping his limit 35 pitches after 5 days seems like a little bit of a stretch. I would like to see him get up to 80 or so, if he can do it without a significant velo drop.
