Look where the ump is set up. He’s set up on the inside for the UGA pitcher . That little bit makes it look more on the plate than it may be. Not taking up for him but that’s a reason why you don’t get inside pitches as much as you do outside. Coppers pitch, the ump is set up in the middle. I hate that they are squeezing pitchers to throw a 1/3 in. Might be why Wes is calling so many off speed pitches. Fast balls will get hit hard if you can’t touch the corners anymore . You really need an experienced pitching staff to be mentally strong to get through it and not implode. The UGA closer threw 11 straight balls at one point. Just a thought .

MLB umpires are very inconsistent and y'all expect SEC umps to be better? One out of three will call a decent game. That might be why they're getting graded after every game.

He screwed Dylan big time on the strike three call

I agree that his zone was a bit wild. I'll maintain this, though: When you have two strikes, it's the late innings and the game is on the line you HAVE to protect the strike zone. Crews didn't even try to swing the bat. Those pitches, in my estimation (and obviously from the only view I had--the television) did not appear to be strikes but they were close enough to warrant a check swing. You have to protect the plate.

In all my years of judging I've never heard before of someone more deserving of the full penalty of the law.

The way you've made them suffer, all the players and their brothers, fills me with urge to defecate.

His strike zone was a parallelogram.

Only pitchers win the Cy Young.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say Dylan Crews will never win a Cy Young as a major leaguer.
