All of AB's competition missed the boat.

They should have immediately countered with some bikini clad women hanging on toxicly masculine men.

I promise you the ad people who came up with the Bud Light fiasco aren’t blaming themselves for doing something so obviously stupid. They’re blaming Bud Light drinkers for being unenlightened cavemen.

They’ll never understand that, if the target demographic is “unenlightened cavemen” then the advertising can’t be for leftist New Yorkers.

Check Dos Equis. I don’t think they’re owned by InBev.

Most people dont realize the majority the vast majority of "local" beers are owned by InBev or Heineken. Here in the Caribbean, Presidente in Dominican Rep. InBev, Crystal and Buccanero in Cuba Inbev, Prestige in Haiti Heineken, Piton St. Lucia Heineken, Bahamas Kalik Heineken, Antigua, Dominica, St. vincent local beers Inbev, Red Stripe Jamaica Heineken. Local beer in Martinique and Guadeloupe Heineken. Banks Barbados Inbev.

And most of the beers in South and Central America are Inbev as well as most of Africa.

Maybe AB gets away without too much financial damage because they own so many brands, but the boycott of Bud Lite is still a winner because it is a warning shot to other companies that don’t have that diversity.

BTW, what a great example of the importance of diversification in business.
