Is this more of an indictment on the breed or the people who own pit bulls and how they raise them?

I definitely think both attribute

I was bitten by a Pitbull while out on a run years ago. And I wasn’t the first by this dog. But I still felt bad when the city seized the dog and put it down.

first of all that data is over 12 years old.

secondly, what does the data even mean?
what is 2500?

oh and i'd prefer if pit bulls were extinct, before you dumbasses attack me thinking i'm trying to defend them simply by stating i don't understand how to read this ancient data.

I don't see the chart. I'm also at work so I assume it's filtered out.

Chow Chows are seriously strong dogs that could probably kill us if they wanted to.

If you're not trying to extrapolate your experience to something beyond just your experience, then what is the damn point of even mentioning your experience other than attention?

But does that make Dalmatians a trashy breed now?

They're notorious for nipping at/biting strangers and kids, although they are not known for serious injuries like the protection breeds are. They're also high energy dogs and lazy Americans buy them because of Disney movies.

My Bullmastiff was the sweetest dog ever, but if she were to go off, you wouldn't be stopping her without a firearm.

Dalmatians should have made the list, never met one that wasn't up to no good.

They probably start the fires for the firemen

That’s why the Great Pyrenees made the list. They are super sweet dogs, but if they were to attack it’s game over.

Look up the story of the Great Pyrenees who took on 11 coyotes at once, and killed 8 of them.

We know pit bulls are killing machines, but the fact that they have Jack Russell's at #6 is suspect

Purely anecdotal but I have been seeing more and more crossbreeding with Great Pyrenees. Take a big, strong, protective dog with a LGD mentality and crossbreed it with a breed with an aggressive temperament and you have a dog that can inflict some damage.

Also, you have more and more people getting a GP (or GP Cross) puppy - yes they are cute - as a “pet”.

Have had and been around pure bred GP’s all my life. Amazing dogs to watch do “their job”, but “pets” they are not.

Don't be fooled by their disarming cuteness, these conniving bastiges have been known to use fireworks in failed attempts to kill their masters.

"Just Sayin'" means from what I (ME) have witnessed. Just Sayin' is not a scientific study or not an official study. It just means from what I (ME) have witnessed because I (ME) have had a Dobermsn and it was mean as frick and I know a couple people who have had Rots and they were mean as frick.

Dobs and Rots are represented on the list, and are still outshined by the pits. Not sure your point.

My previous neighbor had two pits, a black lab and three dachshunds. The pits were the only ones to attack anything. If it was a "bad owner' situation, wouldn't the black lab and the dachshunds attack too?
